Early take on how we match up next week vs. Dallas? (3 Viewers)

Watson was forced to scramble all day long. Even when he did, he didn’t get far. Carr is not mobile. They’ll bring heavy pressure and blitzes. We need to dial up some creative runs and maybe screens, though they have backers to stop that as well. Defensively Dallas is pretty stacked.
Not a Watson fan, but he didn’t have a running game, a good oline, or good WRs.

Some of that was because Dallas was smothering anything they tried to get going.

I want a Saints W badly, especially living in DFW. But we’re going to have to play mistake free ball and run the ball effectively. Im not talking about a handoff up the middle, but designed runs and motion to try and confuse Dallas.

That’s what the Saints did today to beat Carolina. If they play the same way against Dallas, they have a chance to win.

I think it’s as simple as contain Parsons and we have every chance of beating them. They’re a good team but nothing more than that and I think our defense matches up well against their offense.

The game vs Dallas i believe will come down to whos defense will take the best advantage and establish field position. We know Dallas derense will be a problem, we know our defense will be a problem for them also.

Carolina's D does not stink, they were the #4 D last yr
You have to dig deeper into the Stats. They where ranked:

23rd in Rush Defense
29th in Scoring Defense
27th in Red Zone Defense
25th in Points per game
32nd in Sacks(Traded away Burns there best pass rusher)
30th in INT

So yeah they where 4th in yards allowed per game, but that stat is meaningless. In fact it's likely attributed to the fact that teams had short fields and did not need a ton of yardage to score on them.

When you look at there Def DOVA from last year they ranked 25. So in summary no the Panthers did not have a good defense last year and after trading away there best defensive player it will likely be worse this year.

Why am I actually legit worried about this next game?

Their running game is not good. Outside of CeeDee Lamb, who do they have? Brandin Cooks? I think our personnel can contain him. It's still a tough game but winnable.
It's their defense now under Zimmer. They are probably a top 1-2 defense this year especially with Diggs and Parsons. Now this will be a test for our Oline.

It will be interesting to see if we really made strides forward or is Carolina just that bad. We will take the win today. We have a shot next week against Dallas if we perform like we did today!

Dallas didn’t really get cooking offensively until the second half. If the Saints play the first half they way they did today, and Dallas play the first half the way they did today, my bet would be on the Saints.
I was thinking the same exact thing.

Yea I want this one bad. Can't imagine how you have it, It's bad enough out here in Long Beach, CA, cowboys and niners everywhere. We have things to clean up but I'm quietly confident after last night's performance. The players got a great win, and I don't believe Dak is that guy.

Dallas Defense does present a problem, especially if the Saints find themselves in too many 3rd and long situations. I think this is a game where you want to move Carr out of the pocket alot to help out the Offensive line against the likes of Micah Parsons.

I believe we can win with the right mindset and energy that we displayed yesterday. I have a feeling discipline will be crucial because let's not forget we will more than likely also be playing against the refs.
I can't wait!

A lot was said about how we played a terrible team, from what l saw the Browns were not much better, Watson was simply awful and the run game was bad, the thing that scare me most is their kicker
