The reason it isn't being addressed is because nobody posted a thread about it. How would you know that nobody has any interest without starting the thread? Honestly, I saw mention of it in some thread on here yesterday, but I don't really know the story. Is this something new? I don't really follow the national news much beyond what is posted on here.

Frankly, I hate Facebook and haven't ever actually used it. I created an account to mess with my brother many years ago and havent' used it since.

So, please, start the thread.

This thread is evidence that even though Elon is a billionaire, lots of people let him live rent free in their heads.

Nice try, but the thread started when he was in line to buy the company and through the course of that, we watched what transpired and talked about it. Still doing it, because it is still transpiring. If Elon revealing himself as not being the wunderkind we all thought he was doesn't fit your ideology, it doesn't change the chain of events brought up in here. And simple-minded snarky remarks don't change the reality, either. Again, nice try.

Not really. It has been addressed in other threads about FB. FB’s issues are well known and a lot of people only use it for very narrow purposes, I.e. reaching out to an old friend they haven’t seen in a while or maybe check up on a family member or friend. FB is pretty irrelevant to me though. I use it maybe 2 or 3 times a year.

I have never really used Facebook and I only ever go there if I get a notification that someone I know posted something but when I click on the link it never takes me to that post and I have no idea how to navigate that site. I just can't figure out a use for it. If I want to talk to family, friends, or a group of friends or family in writing, I just text them.

I think the big issue is he’s amplifying certain messages by retweeting it. He doesn’t need to even say anything. Just the retweet alone is significant.

My sister-in-law used to send me messages on their messenger app, but I could never open them because I didn't have the app and at some point I forgot my Facebook password. So, I never responded. At some point she just started texting me.

I am sporadically on face book (been on a lot lately, you can figure out why). But other than that, currently it's a place to keep up with my HS class and others that I don't live near anymore, "clip" recipes I like, see pictures of horsies and doggies (not elephants though. Don't see many of them), find out what's going on in town (like WHEN is the new Rouse's opening up finally?). I think it's what you make it.
