Elon Musk makes $43 Billion offer for private buyout of Twitter (5 Viewers)

glad to see that we're now making light of the nazi salute. gonna be normalized in a month or so, allowing everyone to do it so they can say it's a joke.

There's an interesting post by Dr. Philip Low who started up NeuroVigil - a company Elon was a part of (and investor in) until Dr. Low fired him for cause. Should be worth looking at.

so a narcissistic megalomaniac, drunk on obtaining and consolidating power.

Villain direct out the comic books.

I don't think hes a Nazi, i think he idiolizes the control that came along with being one. More of a Nazi wanna be. which is still dangerous for someone with a large following...

can't imagine any comic writer creating such a feckless villain as elon
no one would be impressed that Dazzler or Moonknight could beat Elon much less any heavy hitter - if he was a villain on The Boys, no way they could avoid giving him a secret power bc that's the only thing that would make any sense

He's basically an incompetent Lex Luthor, but I'd argue that an incompetent Lex Luthor is scarier than a competent one.

It's kind of like that saying that the greatest swordsman should not fear the second greatest swordsman, but the novice that has no idea what they're doing, because if they have no idea what they're doing, neither does their opponent.

Elon has no idea what he's doing, not really, but he's wealthy beyond reason, wholly convinced of his own supreme genius, and now embedded enough at the levers of power to make it happen, whatever it is.

You say that, but have you seen that Elon is a highly world ranked Diablo and Path of Exile player? His super power is clearly strategy.

Seriously, he's more the Bond villain type. Insanely rich with dumb plans for world domination that he lacks the ability to execute. Or more accurately, he's Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies.

in the real world absolutely - but comics world has rules and expectations and an Elon character would make no sense whatsoever

complete caveat but I always felt Drew Brees was worst against defensive players who accidentally made fortuitous mistakes - some LB haplessly wandering into a ill-defined zone was his kryptonite

maybe that's it - he's a Powerpuff Girl villain
