Elon Musk makes $43 Billion offer for private buyout of Twitter (5 Viewers)

Seriously considering divesting myself of some, or all, of the TSLA that i bought almost 10 yrs ago.. im sick of this dude’s shenanigans .. in theory i guess id be putting “principles” ahead of my bank account.. but tbh im not sure once this guy does even more stupid ish that his companies’ stock wont drop b/c of it, so it wouldnt be entirely altruistic on my part.. would i be a moron to sell ?
Choosing between principles and financial windfall can be difficult. Henry Ford and Walt Disney weren't very good people either, at their core. I wish I had an answer for you.

I watched them too. People see what they want to see man. In a thread full of people bashing Musk what do you think they are going to see?
Trouble is - if the guy stuck a swastika on the front of his vehicles people would defend him saying it was an Indian peace sign.

Personally I think he just likes the fact he can do whatever he wants, no matter how outrageous, and can get away with it. It's probably just unfettered power that gives him his buzz not ideology.

I lost all respect for him when he called a diver leading a rescue mission to save some kids trapped in an underground tunnel a peado.

There is always a point at which wealth and authority morph into pathology. Once the addiction takes hold they are no different than any other addict. They will do whatever is necessary to feed their addiction, and the first thing is to check their morals and ethics at the door.

The Cybertruck alone was proof enough the company's future is bleak.

But we are also living in an era where the stock market is increasingly and inexplicably divorced from reality, so who knows.

I thought it was reporting BlueSky stopping links to x.

No, just that subreddit. Reddit is having a other one of their quarterly crusades where the hivemind obsesses over some protest, this time it's banning Twitter links.

Which as a verified Musk/Twitter hater, I don't even disagree with. But Reddit are collectively such dramatic little beaches that they're also annoying about it.

Just shut down the internet is what I'm saying.

I watched yours, watch this one....NSFW language

That was a Hitler Third Reich salute. Can't really paint it as anything else. Lots of people going to get what they wished for, just not in the form they had hoped. Not by a long shot.

On a related note, the civilian salute and military salute were slightly different. Civilians saluted straight up and to the front, while the military, the arm pointed outward.

It's clear Musk was throwing his heart out like a frisbee :hihi:

I've been thinking about musk's salute for a while. I've come to the conclusion that i think it was intentional (i don't know how anyone could mistakenly do a nazi salute, it's ingrained in our society, and i just don't see how you could get carried away and do one) and planned. The only thing that makes sense to me is he planned to do it in such a way that he had plausible deniability and to troll people.

I've watched the whole clip. It doesn't get better when i see two nazi salutes.

Let's also not forget his history of antisemitic rhetoric.

Yeah, if it was once, I would have just said eh, did he actually do that?...but he did it twice in exactly the same manner, so there was no mistaking what he was doing. Anyone thinking it wasn't intentional is being willfully dishonest.
