N/S Falcons Have Second Interview With Bill Belichick (Now Likely To Be Falcons HC) (3 Viewers)

I’m hoping Atlanta ends up like the Browns/Lions of the past 30 years..an embarrassment to the league, with maybe an anomaly good/decent year once every 7 to 10 years or so.

It’s the natural order IMO. You don’t want to mess with the natural order of things.
You're right, I do not want to mess with nature. What should be should be.

There’s a rumor out there that he may end up taking a job as a graduate assistant/coaching intern at Navy.

That would be even more hilarious. 🤣

To be serious, I do not understand why he wants to continue coaching. He has seven figure TV deals being offered. In a matter of months everyone is going to forget the Mac Jones era and be busy talking about his eight Super Bowl rings. He's a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Why tarnish all of that and continue to delay his first ballot Hall of Fame induction to get swept by a 🦌 in the sorriest division in the NFL?

He’s only 17 or 18 wins from the all time wins record by Shula.
This is house money. Even if the Falcons are still bad or mid level, it will be worth it because BB would get that record.

You really think he will get swept by DA? We didn't sweet them this season. If he brings in JMD, get the QB of his choice, and focus strictly on defense, Atlanta, as much as I hate to say it, should be the easy favorites for the NFC South.

My son-in-law is huge Falcons fan (they live in Atlanta). He would be good with BB, but the one he really wants is Harbaugh. Either way, Atlanta is set up for success. Get a top coach, very good young skill players, #8 pick in draft, with ability to move up. A TON of cap space, 30 mil right off the bat with ability to get up to 65 mil if needed. They are gonna be players in Free Agency.

For me it all comes down to what Belichick does for an OC and QB.

BB doesn’t worry me, too much, but Harbaugh would scare me! BB has a few more years left and we probably won’t be good enough to make a deep run then anyway. But 10 years of Harbaugh would absolutely @&@@“!

We better start learning to make wild cards. That starts with winning conference games. At least 7 to 8 wins in the conference. It's more important to beat the Rams, Packers, and Eagles than the Broncos next year.

Exactly, everything else regarding the team will be in place. Get lucky w/ a Stroud, then they own the division until he retires, at least.

It’s literally the west coast offense, lol. Bill Walsh and others did pretty well.

And PC did pretty well with it when he had Drew. Just like McDaniels did pretty well when he had Brady. That’s the whole point here.

Our offense was the opposite of a WCO, well technically, it is considered the real WCO while what we know today as the WCO is really the Mid West Offense (LOL). For majority of Brees' time here, we ran a Coryell system because that is the offense that he came from and Sneaky Pete was brought here because that was his background. CSP has is own version and Sneaky Pete has his. The key difference is nobody had to scream to for CSP to build the system to the QB strength.
