Falcons hired Zac Robinson as OC (1 Viewer)

Good hire. He was the hottest name on the market. Might not turn out to be any good as a playcaller, but they will draft their QB and have top 10 picks at WR, TE and RB already on the team. So, he will have talent and a chance to learn on the job.

I think it’s fair to say that it’s not being hyperbolic to say that Zach Robinson thought Raheem Morris and an unknown QB were a better bet than DA and DC.

That really depends on whether or not the Saints ever offered him a job.

They also have a good OL in place, which is the first piece that you need to look good as an OC. They just need to find the right answer to the QB question.

Well. If that were the case it would still mean what I said is true. If the Saints weren’t interested then why would he be?

Yet, I think the preponderance of evidence regarding his place in the pecking order in this hiring cycle indicates the facts and context of just what I said.

Come on man. If they didn't offer him the job then it doesn't matter which job he preferred. The claim was he preferred Morris and unknown QB over DA and DC. There is no way to know which he preferred if the Saints never offered a job.

I think he likely would have rathered going to work with a guy he knows from his time in LA, but unless someone finds out the Saints offered him the job and he turned it down, we will new know which he preferred.

Where the Falcons are draft gives them a much better shot at a top QB.

Of course. But if the Saints didn't offer the job, we don't know which job he preferred. Maybe he wanted to work with a rookie QB or maybe he didn't. And for all we know, Atlanta is planning to trade for Fields or sign Cousins.

He was always going to be Morris’ choice, interviewing Hankton probably allowed him to get some intel on players and fulfill his RR requirement. Most of us on here didn’t know who he was two weeks ago. It’s because he’s going to Atlanta is why everyone is angry.

Falcons being who they are, the type of team that goes after players on division rivals, will go and sign Mayfield from the Bucs if they can't draft someone.

Raheem Morris and Zac Taylor became good friends in LA. You tend to hire people you trust and are comfortable with. Cant blame either of them.
I don’t disagree and I get that one team’s positive doesn’t mean another’s negative. Just saying that the sum of all that still equals him appearing to view the situation in Atl better than NO.

There’s no vacuum here.
