Favorite But Underrated Movies (1 Viewer)

I’ve never seen a McQueen movie. I have a hard time going that far back. And I’m a movie buff. I’m definitely missing out. I love old TV shows so I’m not sure why I have an aversion to older Movies.

Don't know if any or all of these are underated or what but....
Me, Myself and Irene
K-PAX
Simon Birch

Can’t remember if I’ve said these:
Big Trouble in Little China
Predator
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Monty Python Life of Brian
A Fish Called Wanda
Wind River
Big Fish

Oh man. I’d forgotten that one. Spot on.
Me too

I actually might put it on soon

JFK - Kevin Costner. It’s probably not very accurate but to me it’s riveting drama and it’s 3 hour runtime flies by every time I watch it. Stellar cast

Agreed. I always watch anything I can relating to JFK.

And my first thought when you mentioned Starman was to put it on soon too lol.

I’m a huge Jeff Bridges fan. He’s my second favorite actor, behind the ?.
Denzel.

Phone Booth- Colin Farrell

Far better than a “die hard in a phone booth” movie should have been

Weekend at Bernie’s- Andrew McCarthy

Hardly high art, but Terry Kaiser gives a bravura performance as Bernie and the whole movie falls apart without it

Romancing the Stone and war of the roses: michael Douglas and Kathleen turner

Love both of those. Loved Nile too.
Does this one fit (Stone) as underrated though? If it does then I’ve got one...
The Road Warrior. (Gibson original)

I didn’t care for Nile myself

I do think Stone is underrated, I’ve spoken to a lot of people in my age group who’ve never seen it, more than few never heard of it

somebody's post reminded me about Birdy - Matthew Modine's best and Nicholas Cage back when he was really carving out an artistic presence and not just being a huge scene chewer

plus it was made after 1975, so....

Hmmm. Maybe I’m older.
I didn’t like Nile as much either.
