I enjoyed this season as well. Look I used to be the guy that got pissed. I would storm out of the house and spend time in the garage or outside just pissed off. Didn’t change anything. My point was as great as the 2009 season was I remember the parts with my friends and family more than the games. You remember a Super Bowl winning season. Semper, I'm with you. You didn't pick 2008 season or the 2012 season for a reason. At least then, when the Saints had a coach you believed in you could hope for better years. But you still didn't retell those seasons because those seasons aren't memorable.
Keeping DA is tying the Saints to another unremarkable season without even the hope of improvement.
You enjoyed the 2009 season...yeah me too, buddy.
Let me clarify my position. I wouldn't contribute to a gofundme putting a billboard outside of a man's place of work, even if we went 0-17. I think it's classless. So wait until you hit rockbottom to get help? Why wait until you hit 4-13, let's wait until they go 0-17!
Not being a contender should be reason enough and reason alone to make a change. There's no difference between 0-17, 4-13, or 9-8 if your goal is to win a Superbowl. Dennis Allen doesn't get it. He's never going to get it. Waiting for him to completely fail is a pointless waste of time.
Yeah, and the fear (for me at least) is that we would give DA another season to see if he can work it out. Here's some fodder for the DA haters.
Given the way next year's schedule is shaping up, we could be an improved team, play better, and finish 9-8 AGAIN...
It be different if Dennis didn't speedrun himself into elimination.Yeah, and the fear (for me at least) is that we would give DA another season to see if he can work it out.
People will say “wel, Sean had a few 7-9 seasons in a row.” But they fail to mention that Sean also took the team to the playoffs and to the NFC title game before he went on those 7-9 skids. There was goodwill built up. He had the skin on the wall to prove he could do it.
DA has shown the NFL (not just the Saints) that he isn’t a head coach (or at least not a very good one).
Based on this logic wouldn't buying a bill board that is not going get Dennis Allen fired a waste of time, money and advertising space. OR is the Goal is just to get a few laughs at someone else expense.
That right there is funny, I must say. lol
I think we should band together and put up a "Thank you Dennis" billboard. Here's some fodder for the DA haters.
Given the way next year's schedule is shaping up, we could be an improved team, play better, and finish 9-8 AGAIN...
Fire DA and under it, HiRE GRUDEN. Then I’ll donateFIRE DENNIS ALLEN BILLBOARD, organized by Nicole N
As we all know, Dennis Allen has been a complete failure as a head coach in New Orleans and the… Nicole N needs your support for FIRE DENNIS ALLEN BILLBOARDwww.gofundme.com
2024 season ticket holders and Fire Dennis Allen Billboards got one thing in common, I suppose.
"Were your feelings hurt watching a Saints game? Put the Womac on em!"Are you telling me there's an available outdoor board in Louisiana that isn't taken by an injury attorney?
Let me clarify my position. I wouldn't contribute to a gofundme putting a billboard outside of a man's place of work, even if we went 0-17. I think it's classless.
I think this is a little harsh. This board and what we say on here does not have the power to hurt the team. This stuff is only hurting the team at this point and needs to stop. It's dividing the fanbase and a waste of time. If you want Dennis Allen gone, hack his computer and find some racist emails or something.
He's here for another year and it's standard procedure to give a coach 3 years. We're all disappointed in the season but there's no way a coach loses his job after year 2 when he had a winning record (even though it was easiest schedule ever)
If you want to make a realistic a billboard, wish Pete Carmichael a happy retirement because that might actually happen and it's the only best move for our team at this point.
Saints fans are quickly becoming some of my least favorite.
Let’s be honest, honest. How could we have not had a winning record vs that line up of teams we played. Even the decent teams we played were without their starting QB. Our only quality wins were vs Indy and Tampa. (Two fringe playoff teams) The fact that we played flat vs loser teams is a real problem. We should’ve gone undefeated. But to be fair, Two or three losses should’ve been our bar. Instead we had 8 losses. I remember when Sean got here in 2006 and people were being cut left and right. I Remeber thinking yep, he was a cancer, yep he was a cancer..I hate that above .500 is considered a winning season. We missed the playoffs. IMO, that's not a winning season. We go home just like the 2-15 team. That was the bar set for DA before the season started with everyone knowing this was the weakest division and DA was given everything he wanted to load the roster. Saints severely underachieved. This is peak DA. he will never do better than 9-8.
