Fire Dennis Allen Billboard (3 Viewers)

Could not agree more. We had a winning season. We were competitive in our division and steadily improved all year. Too many people need instant gratification now instead of just sitting back and enjoying what we have.
I hate that above .500 is considered a winning season. We missed the playoffs. IMO, that's not a winning season. We go home just like the 2-15 team. That was the bar set for DA before the season started with everyone knowing this was the weakest division and DA was given everything he wanted to load the roster. Saints severely underachieved. This is peak DA. he will never do better than 9-8.

Classless. This isn’t 3rd year Arthur Smith.

It was a winning season for a 2nd year HC who went from 7-10 to 9-8. Top 8 defense in points allowed. Offense finished top 10 in scoring with 23.6 vs last year’s 19.4. That said, I believe a better HC gets you 1-2 more wins. But, “Fire DA” billboards aren’t warranted and it’s a terrible look.

And you’re right to be unhappy based on your expectations. I just think billboards are kind of low key trashy.

And to be fair based on this, the season is only “winning” if we win a super bowl? The patriots went 16-0 and lost the super bowl. Winning season or not?

As much as I love this, I’m afraid it doesn’t matter. Loomis is too stubborn and maybe even scared to pull the trigger and cut loose Allen (even if he is a proven loser as a HC and lost the respect of his team).

It’s just pathetic
Maybe we should add an "AND" to the sign [if you know what I mean]

No, but winning the division is winning. You could make the argument for making the playoffs as a wildcard, but you don't get a banner. Banner = winning season. Winning division, winning season.

So wait until you hit rockbottom to get help? Why wait until you hit 4-13, let's wait until they go 0-17!

Not being a contender should be reason enough and reason alone to make a change. There's no difference between 0-17, 4-13, or 9-8 if your goal is to win a Superbowl. Dennis Allen doesn't get it. He's never going to get it. Waiting for him to completely fail is a pointless waste of time.
Based on this logic wouldn't buying a bill board that is not going get Dennis Allen fired a waste of time, money and advertising space. OR is the Goal is just to get a few laughs at someone else expense.

With all due respect, that Patriots team handled their freaking business during the season, gave themselves a shot at a SB title, and if it wasn’t for a miracle helmet catch, they would’ve won that Super Bowl. Essentially it took a miracle to stop them. What miracle stopped us from winning a crap division?

Really?

Wow. I knew we got a little spoiled during the Sean/Brees years but, man, this is getting ridiculous. We're booing our own team after one 3 and out and now putting up billboards? Where are the fans that would show up for the team getting off the plane after a loss? The entitlement of fans now is out of control.

I guess it’s a matter of expectations and perspective. For 18 weeks I watched my Saints play. I took a break from bills, work, etc to be entertained. I planned food and cooking around each game. Every game was me, my parents, my brothers and their wives having a short video chat before each game and doing a shot together.

To me that’s what I wanted. Winning a division, playoffs, super bowl is all lagniappe.

When I look back on 2009 I really don’t remember a lot of the games. I remember some great moments. I remember starting our tradition of doing shots together before every game.

I remember the playoff parties that at the time I did not want. I just wanted to be alone and watch the game. I remember my wife trying to explain to me that they just wanted to be part of the experience.

I remember the explosion of cheers when we beat the Vikings. And the tears when we won. My priest showed up around 10:30 just to hug me and say congrats.

I remember all that but the games themselves not too much.
Look, whatever makes you happy, I won't take from that. But as for me, I can't do it. the product on the field is trash. I get too into the games and it's frustrating to watch this team make insane mistakes over and over. My wife generally hates how football season gets me riled up. This year was the fewest games I've watched in a season for the past 20 years. It's not even about winning, I enjoyed every bit of the 7-9 Seasons with Brees. He was fun to watch. The games were exciting. But this year was so flat, and dull, and missed the mark and it is the best DA is going to do. The dude has the energy of a sloth. He couldn't motivate me to pour milk into my cereal. He has zero self-accountability, throws his players under the bus, and has no control of the team. This roster was talented enough to make a deep run into the playoffs, only to be held back by the coaching staff.

Entitlement? WIthout the fans, there is no New Orleans Saints. Fans bring in the money. In the end, this is a business.

You remember a Super Bowl winning season. Semper, I'm with you. You didn't pick 2008 season or the 2012 season for a reason. At least then, when the Saints had a coach you believed in you could hope for better years. But you still didn't retell those seasons because those seasons aren't memorable.

Keeping DA is tying the Saints to another unremarkable season without even the hope of improvement.

You enjoyed the 2009 season...yeah me too, buddy.
