I think this is a little harsh. This board and what we say on here does not have the power to hurt the team.

A billboard in public and continuing to fuel discontent permeates the city and fanbase. It creates unnecessary distractions and is generally a crappy way to be.

It's completely okay to hold a team accountable and voice an opinion for an upcoming decision. Once that decision has been made, however, we should stop crying about it and move on.

No decisions have been made about the Offensive staff so lean on that if folks need something to do but the Dennis Allen debate is over until this time next season.

It's not really a DA debate. He needs to go. No accountability, no control of the team. Obviously, this probably won't happen how can you energize a fan base when this clown is being retained?

Could not agree more. We had a winning season. We were competitive in our division and steadily improved all year. Too many people need instant gratification now instead of just sitting back and enjoying what we have.

Got you. I definitely understand that. I read it as, paraphrasing 'I'd be okay with a change but it's not like the season was a total loss'. But now I see what you meant, apologies.

No worries. Fwiw, I exclaimed on the boards just yesterday that Dennis Allen's handling of the end of the game on Sunday was a microcosm of his failure to connect with his team...and the fans. Sunday was the first time in a long time that the Dome felt like the Dome I love. To blow out the falcons and then be talking about whether DA lost the locker room.... I don't think he's the guy for the job. I hope he proves me wrong.

That said, we haven't had less than 7 wins in 18 seasons. And we did just have a winning season, so I understand why Loomis would be hesitant to make a change. That doesn't mean I'm renewing my tickets though.

I was just talking to my son the other day, who has only known the Saints during the Payton/Brees era (he was born in Jan 07) about how its amazing for me to try to wrap my head around the fact that I would like our head coach to be let go after we just had a winning season when in the past just having a non losing season was an accomplishment to be proud of. The expectations have been raised for this organization. As it should be. I just wish the people running the organization could see it.

I have had to fire way too many decent people bc of their performance. Being a decent person does not make them exempt from doing a terrible job. Especially if their job is performance based. has openly said at his initial hiring press conference, that all he has to do is “cook the turkey”. Those words, not anyone else’s, but his own. We didn’t get turkey, we got Tofurky. It’s not the same
