Fire Dennis Allen Billboard (2 Viewers)

Timing is downright terrible. If she want something like this, it should have happened during the season.
I mean... It seem pretty up in the air after the Rams game, but Dennis pulled some fools gold out of pocket to get two big, but ultimately meaningless wins.

Too many people need instant gratification now instead of just sitting back and enjoying what we have.

"What we have"?

What we have is a retreaded HC, with a terrible past (that some are so willing to ignore) that has proven he is not capable of leading a team.....Easiest schedule in the worst division with a pretty good roster and still can't get it done.....

No, we weren't 4-13 but next year's schedule may get us there.....I can't believe after watching the Saints all these years there are still folks who have this defeatist attitude (IMO)......

Maybe you’re the one not properly performing your duties by selecting the wrong candidates in the first place?
That may be, but sometimes people interview very well and have a very poor work ethic…….or they are just very good at creating an illusion of whether they would be a good fit or not. No one bats 1.000 when it comes to hiring. If that were possible then everything would be perfect. Nothing is ever perfect. One thing is for sure though, IF I do hire someone that doesn’t fit the bill, I take the responsibility of finding someone else who will perform better. I correct my mistakes and don’t run from them. 🦌 has said that winning the division is the 1st goal. Well, 2 years in, no division title. Maybe ML should hold him to that. Just saying

And to be fair based on this, the season is only “winning” if we win a super bowl? The patriots went 16-0 and lost the super bowl. Winning season or not?
Playoffs is the barometer. If you have the easiest schedule in the league and arguably the most talented team in the division, not making the playoffs is unacceptable. And, the 2 key moments or turning points this season that soured me irreversibly on DA is blowing the 17-0 4th quarter lead vs the Packers and completely botching the situation with players wanting to get a TD for their teammate, then making it worse by not only throwing them under the bus, but also apologizing to the Falcons after the fact.

Allen isn't a leader, and isn't a legitimate HC. He has to go.

I wonder how it feels to be public enemy number 1 with this fan base already after 9 and 8 albeit with an easy schedule. I'd hate to see what would happen if we had like 5 wins instead. I wouldn't personally want to put up billboards about someone, but you can't blame the fans too much when Micky has made bad decision after bad decision.
It's hard to feel sorry for someone who makes more in a year than I would in 2 lifetimes. And it's not just this fanbase. It's every fanbase in every sport that cares about the team they cheer for. It comes with the territory.

The Saints have a loyal fanbase, but everyone has a breaking point. I get that DA will be back next year, but he and Loomis are playing with fire if they make no changes to the offensive staff and PC is still calling plays in 2024.

Jax was 17th in defense ppg and 11th in takeaways. Maybe Doug expected top 10 based on talent. But if your offense is bottom 5 in giveaways, that’s going to skew defense numbers.

One of the thing that I noticed about DA supporters, the majority of their points/arguments rarely consider context....at all.....
Same can be said about DA and Loomis haters. Everything is in absolutes with no grey areas. All we hear about is all his failures but when something positive happens, it was despite his coaching. Damn if he does and damn if he dont. When another team fires someone or does something the Saints have done in the past, it doesn't count because we haven't fired DA or PC mid-season. Teams who fire their coach midseason or make knee jerk reactions are well managed despite the fact they are perennial bottom dwellers (Carolina, Atlanta, Washington, San Diego). When we talk about Payton's coaching, the failure to remember how he was loyal to friends for a long time and kept terrible coaches that everyone wanted gone. You can't cherry pick what you dislike about one coach and act like it doesn't matter for a coach you do like.
I dont like a LOT of DA's decisions, but I also don't have an axe to grind with him and let that delude my thinking to be always negative. I want the Saints to succeed and dont act like I am a GM and know that all the fault lies with DA, coaches, players, scouting or whatever happens behind the scenes which none of us have a clue about. I have a list of things I didn't like about DA.
- His handling of the Atlanta TD was terrible, he should have publicly took ownership and chewed out the players behind the scene.
- I think he gets lost during the games and does a poor job of adjusting.
- I think he is loyal to PC to a fault.
I also recognize that the team played well in the stretch and if we would have had of this productivity in the first 8 games we would have easily been 11-6. He has coached well enough for another year but I am not oppose of him being fired. I won't look at everything one sided and skew things to my argument.

Also as far as the comparison of Dan Campbell. He makes some bonehead decisions. He is loud and energetic personality and has lots of charisma. That doesn't make him a great coach per se, but it does make him fun to root for. He literally went for it on a 2 point conversion after a 5 yard penalty when he could have tied the game. He risked seeding because of a bonehead decisions. If that was DA, you guys would have burned his house down.

If you add "Fire Mickey" then i'd pay for the whole thing!

Again, context missing......CSP took the Saints to the NFC championship game his 1st year here, he proved he was a leader.....not that he was perfect, no coach is......DA has yet to prove....anything.....

This is the common tactic that DA supporters use (and I think it is reasonable to say you are one if you think he has coached well enough for another year), somehow conflated CSP's faults into illogical, nonsensical comparisons with DA's situation, they are not even close to being the same, it's like comparing apples to rotted apples.....

There have been some positives, there almost always will be with any team (Bresee's development, good young WR group, good young CB group) but when the negatives so outweigh the positives it's hard not to be very critical, especially when Saints fans know what a good coaching staff looks like.....

It's a billboard with a relatively tame message, not much different from being booed during stadium introductions. It's not like people are calling in death threats or leaving bags of flaming cow dung on his front porch. He has a public-facing job, and with the prospect of public adulation comes the prospect of public disapproval. So you take the bad with the good, or you find a profession outside of the limelight where you can suck in relative obscurity. Really not concerned about his hurt feelings here.

Could not agree more. We had a winning season. We were competitive in our division and steadily improved all year. Too many people need instant gratification now instead of just sitting back and enjoying what we have.
I think it’s more of where fans think the team is headed, if you think it’s headed in the right direction then don’t change anything. I personally think we are headed in the wrong direction and no reason to think that will change anytime soon.

Oh I am fine with a change and think we are currently headed to “average” but I don’t agree with billboards.

Man have a little class. This is getting ridiculous. I think we should make a change but it's not like we just went 3-13.
You under estimate how weak this years schedule was. This year was supposed to be a layup for the division. The bar was as low as it will ever be and we still didn't make the playoffs.
