It's a good thing it was settled, and The Clash rightfully won!
Without Led Zeppelin there would never have been the clash, or AC/DC, or Pink Floyd, or Rolling Stones.
I’ll give you the starting years, but the only way you can enjoy Pink Floyd is on mushrooms, at least that’s how I enjoy Pink Floyd. There are more hits from Led Zeppelin. Then from Pink Floyd.I never got all the hype about the Clash, they really never appealed to me much.....
You better bone up on your rock history....PF started in 1965, LZ started in 1968.....IMO PF is better than any of the bands listed.....

Some of the contacts I use regularly are worthless….
Damn, looks like I hit a nerve. Relax, Frances to each their own. And me referencing drugs with listening to music was my attempt at humor. Apparently it went straight over your head. And as far as Led Zeppelin covering numerous amount of songs, it falls under the category of who did it better. While I enjoy Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, only Zepplin takes me back to my childhood, and I personally lived through in my own little corner of Kena bra,.That's just so gracious of you.....maybe do a little research before proclaiming such inane BS.....
"hits" have never been any kind of barometer to me and as someone pointed out LZ did a lot of covers, like nearly all of their bluesy sounding tunes they didn't even write....I like a lot of them for sure as I like a lot of the stuff they did write.....
BUT, PF was a truly original band with a different soundscape than any before or since, if you need to get high to enjoy them I guess that's just too bad....I enjoy listening to them straight, high or otherwise....
But as to which band is better? Only the individual listener can determine....they are markedly different
