Thank you AK41! You are a real one and will forever have a special place in my heart just on this alone. Oh and Mr “look beyond the results” better fall in line or he can get the steppin as well. Time to rebuild something to be proud about

Blown 3 4th quarter leads in the final minute on this 7 game losing streak closed the book on Dennis is how you frame it.

No GM is going to sheet talk their HC out of the door. First, it makes that GM look worse for hiring them. Second, it makes other coaches not want to work for you. You use the same platitudes that are always used "thank him for his work", "very good football coach", "a lot of things were out of his control", "but we just felt it was time to move on".

Campbell also comes from Payton's coaching tree.
I know, just using him as an example. He wasn't afraid to burn it down so he could build it up the right way from scatch. It's what we needed to do two years ago, instead Loomis doubled down on Allen and an aging roster, and here we are.

For everyone who doubts Gayle Benson, they need to know that Dennis Allen’s firing was her decision after privately communicating with player. NOT a decision by Mickey Loomis.

I love this. I doubted she would pull the trigger. Thank God. This was only Step 1, however.

This is pure speculation/questioning on my part. Why not have conversations with your GM? Or did she? Even Loomis' comments in the press release sound like he didn't want DA gone. Would Loomis tell her that he wouldn't fire DA? I'd like someone to ask these questions.

I hope your Aub tigers beat Bama. Speaking of coaches walking the plank (Kalen) I still have hope for Freeze
I hope we do too but I wouldn't put anything on it..haha. I think next season is the make or break season for Freeze, as they might be looking at what he has done in recruiting, because if that man can't do anything, he can recruit...haha.

you bring in a new OC - your team curb stomps the 1st two opponents and then a metric ton of injuries hits the team and you go into a horrible losing streak
how else would you want him to frame it?
i agree 100%. However, you have almost everyone back except Mccoy and you try to win and lose vs a team that is actively trying to tank (by trading assets prior to the deadline) is way too much to overcome. In their defense, NO coach wins with that amount of injuries. But great coaches can still eeek out those games vs Philly, ATL and Carolina. And thats why he was fired. He proved that he isnt a great head coach. Sean Payton wins those close ugly games for example. DA found almost impossibly mathematical way to lose.

Will have to agree to disagree.....At this point I don't think ML deserves anything but a demotion.....we will see what happens....

I wouldn't call wanted him demoted "blood lust", that seems a bit dramatic, I've got no problem with keeping him in the organization but just take him out of the major decision making process....

I'm not saying you have "blood lust" but many here do. Many don't want him demoted. Many just want him fired and thrown out with DA.

And I get it. He created this sheet show by hiring DA on Payton's recommendation. So if he has to go or be moved to a executive VP position for this team to get better then I'm good with it. But, he does deserve credit for is helping to build a Super Bowl Champion and keeping this team as a serious contender for around 15 years. He screwed up at the end of that and hired a terrible head coach, which probably justifies him being let go or moved to a different position. But I can also see reasons for believing that he can turn things around as he has started to change how the team does business in the last 2 or 3 years.

DA: “Next week, we’re gonna roll with a deep fade on 4th down with the game on the line once again. It’s gonna work this time!”

Mrs. Benson: “Who is this we that you speak of?”

The no time out just before half time which cost us a chance at a FG was probably the last straw for management...

I was flabbergasted he didn't understand the importance of scoring & putting points on the board any time you can...
