He would be good in Brandon Cooks old job, stretch the field, smart guy with speed , so I hope we put him at WR not CB. 5'9" makes him about cooks size also.

He's not a QB. He was GT's QB because he was the most athletic guy on their roster. Reading about his pro day, he showed some utility ability. Reportedly ran an a 4.32 40. Interesting conversion prospect. It's a shame how many stellar athletes that have the talent to play in the league have their development stunted by learning to play a position or in a system they have no business at. I hate the nonsense option philosophy GT swears by.
From his Wiki page
So GT got him because they promised him he would play qb, meanwhile a guy who actually knows how to utilize talent wanted to move him to db. Well tht certainly didn't end as he expected it.

That nonsense philosophy sure gets players wide open and allows GT to play with teams they shouldn't be able to hang with.
It works for them. The players have a choice on where they go.
GT has been a decent football program for a while. Saying that they're clearly outmatched in the ACC in terms of the talent they can recruit is faulty. The university is in a top 5-6 state in terms of high school football talent and is one of only 2 power 5 programs within that state. The flex bone has no business in modern day football. If it did, actual championship caliber football teams at the collegiate/professional level would utilize it, which they don't.
Navy beat some much more talented teams with it...
Cadet was a college QB who moved to RB maybe Thomas can be his replacement.
