Giants releasing Janoris Jenkins (1 Viewer)

After reading the article about all of this yesterday even after his so-called apology, I said to myself they're going to release this guy this week.

He's just bad news.

Let's just hope he doesn't end up on a team like, say, you know ... the Niners.

Sherman is going to be out for several weeks.
Jenkins is injured right now too and it's doubtful he'd make it to the 9ers on waivers.

The Browns Safety that was released for threatening a fan over the internet set a precedent that teams won't accept that type of behavior, he deserves to be released just for the lack of awareness on the situation. Players are responsible for what they post on social media.
Huge difference.
You tryna tell me you never say retard?
Just walk through any high school or college, you're going to hear a lot worse.
I literally got pulled over by a cop the other day and said "what are you mentally challenged?". I was revving my engine at a stop light.
Just saying, People say it all the time.

The offenses varied in degrees of severity, but the principal point is that they both represented their organizations in a negative light by having inappropriate interactions with Fans over social media. In Jenkin's case he showed stubbornness, and ignorance in the matter by not acknowledging his mistake, and remains unapologetic.

I wouldn’t have apologized either. He didn’t threaten anyone or do anything dangerous. People are too sensitive.

But you and I both know those "injuries" tend to heal a lot quicker if he's on a contender.
Oh, absolutely. Jenkins has been a really good corner for years though. Teams would have to be really upset about this twitter thing to pass him up on waivers and there are too many teams with no true #1 corner for him to make it far in the waiver order, IMO. But, yeah, it sure would suck for him to make it to the 49ers. I'd hope we would sign him if he made it to us just to keep the teams ranked higher than us from getting him.

He called somebody a retard and then refused to apologize for it. I guess he could run for President if the football thing is over ?‍♂️
I get the joke. It’s a good one.

We do however take things way to seriously. I have in an argument with someone said things that were not appropriate. Everyone has. I just did not have social media back then. Thank god...

He has more than 4 years. He does not go on waivers, he is a free agent.

It's not that he used a "borderline" Offensive term to describe someone that's the problem. It's that a Professional chose to improperly engage a Fan during team practice hours on social media, misrepresented his Team, and took no accountability for his misstep until his release. Shows a lack of professionalism, that an individual prioritized "Getting the last word in" a argument over Social media, over helping his team and following team proto-calls.

He apparently tweeted that he's glad he got released too. Heard it on Sportscenter a few minutes ago.
