Going 1-4 over the previous 5 weeks isn't enough evidence for some sort of coaching change? (1 Viewer)

Good question and I wish I knew the answer.
If I had to guess it’s that Gayle is hands off, the top executives are fat and happy and not at all worried about the product or job security.
A very viable possibility. And I am leaning this way as the main reason.

The players seem to be defending their play caller, so I don’t think canning him is the right move.

MT after the Texans game:

And then MT this week more or less threw the QB under the bus when he said he didn’t go through his progression on that play where he threw it to the beer man in the stands.

I doubt any changes get made, but firing someone who has everyone’s support doesn’t seem like a way to put accountability where it belongs.
It’s normal player protocol not to blame coaches or finger point. It’s manly to accept blame and responsibility. Im not sure if he’s just accepting blame for that reason. Every player is always going to say, I’m ready, throw me the ball, I’ll run it, and things to that nature. Going on record criticizing coaches, is a fast track not not getting the ball. So it would be extremely rare if an active player criticizes a coach. That’s fine with me, I’d rather them keep their business to themselves, what would it benefit anyone that the fans know their dirty laundry. So Willie the wine-o can make a sign, saying, “FIRE PETE, Mike told me to say it”. With that said. FIRE Pete, I said so! JK, If Carr cannot turn this offense into a juggernaut starting vs Indy. It’s time to start researching rookie QBs. This is a young man’s game. If you can’t run your way out of a sack, you’re dead. Carr barely has enough wheels, and I’m being nice. You have to have that element that the faking injury Jax Qb gave his team. If you take away those runs, the Saints win. Take away Bakers runs and the Saints Win. Take away Jordan Loves runs, the Saints win. Who did we beat? Mack statue Jones.

The answer is leverage. A lever moves objects, leverage moves people. The fans have no leverage trying to make the Saints frint office move. Therefore they don’t. The fans will get leverage when the season is extremely close to a full fan revolt and not showing or buying tickets. Until then, sit back and wait

It's pretty wild to me. Not even asking for anyone to get fired. Bring in an analyst, switch playcaller, or inquire about getting a consultant.

This is a playoff caliber team and we just gonna sit in the mud.

Same here, totally agree. If anything DA is consistent, he will refuse to make changes until he feels his job is in jeopardy, which very well could be the root of the problem.....he's not on what should be a very hot seat right now.....if this season continues to spiral then it's time to point (a mostly meaningless) the finger at Loomis and Co.....

We are missing a playoff caliber QB!

Carr is so slow processing the play, surveying the field and misses wide open receivers constantly

Not scoring in the redzone is on carr. Not our receivers, not the oline and not even our hated OC calling plays.

It’s simple an inept quarterback doing things not even a rookie QB should fail at…

Im not saying that we got anything better under contract (not a Jameis believer either)

Dennis isn't afraid to completely shatter a player's confidence, but got to coddle and provide safe places for his coaches that are underperforming.
This is because when he is *hopefully* fired (as soon as possible preferably), he'll still have friends in the coaching ranks and will continue to get employed.

I agree. This should have been a 4-0 stretch, and yet here we are starting the easy part of our schedule off with a loss. I was going to wait and see what happened with these four EASY games and so far, I'm not impressed. We couldn't even take a win from the Jags when they were TRYING to gives us the game. Saints said, "No thanks, we're good".

The fact he is 1-4 the last 5 games all while having a garbage schedule in front of him should speak huge volume how bad he is. Dude is a bad coach that has now had the team quit twice in two season. They quit last year after Tampa and this year after Green Bay.
