Great, great news. The Grandyman deserves every penny. He’s getting better each year and has softened the blow of whiffing on Davenport.

We’ll probably look back at this deal this time next year as an absolute bargain.

I believe Payton Turner injury made the Saints pick Carl over him long term. Right decision.

Getting injured 7 snaps into the season pretty much closed the book on him getting a lucrative deal here.

Chance we could resign him also on a very friendly deal or extend him. Hard to believe it's his third year and he has barely played.

I mentioned Granderson when they let Trey walk. I always said it wasn’t a Trey vs Davenport it was Trey vs Davenport/Granderson. Trey’s last season Granderson had 5 sacks. I always said they had 2 guys under contract and that Trey played his way out and someone was going to pay him. If Trey would of had 6 or 7 sacks they would of signed him.

Great deal for both sides to lock up our DE of the future. Glad to see Granderson’s rewarded for his journey to become our top pass rusher as an UDFA.

It’s good it was done ahead of time now before he becomes more expensive as he reaches near the stats he’s projected at. 13M per year’s a steal if he tops 10-12+ sacks going forward.

Pray it doesn't turn out like the extension to UDFA Junior Galette. Galette went crazy after signing. Granderson is not at all like Junya though.
