I wouldn't but RatM in that category, but the point is well made. I've never seen so much love shown for a guitarist who pick slides/wah wah peddles every song. Oh, they're socially aware, they're great.

That's fair. Admittedly, it's a gray area. At some point we ought to direct music discussion to the Music forum. It was a judgement call on my part. If it is really bothersome, I can bring it for discussion among the mods/admin group. FWIW, I personally think those ought to be on this forum as well. I guess I don't see it as that big of a deal in the life of SR.com

Another vote for The Who. I like a few songs but I just don't get the huge love for them and I have really tried. I saw them do Quadrophenia live, what a borefest that was.

I also don't much like U2. Massively overrated. And the less said about Bono, the better.

I like when you guys at times leave it on the EE until it starts to loose its "popularity" then move it to the appropriate sub. Sometimes a good thread meets instant death when moved to some of the subs like this one did.

I recognize that all of these bands are very influential and that many had great musicians in them, but I don't really like songs from any of them except for a few songs here and there. Some, I don't like anything.

That list is symptomatic of some anger issues. I think you could benefit from some sensitivity training

I hate The Who. I hate that the Saints Super Bowl had them as their half time performer. I think Pete Townsend is about as average a guitarist as it gets, and Keith Moon just banged hard on his drums and destroyed hit set so everyone thinks he's one of the best drummers. I like one song that they've released and that's Pinball Wizard.

Pretty much every other band listed I can stand several of their songs, so for me it has to be The Who.
