Hiring Moore = Ashton Jeanty as 1st rd pick? (4 Viewers)

All 3 of your examples are dominant because of their OLINE and not RBs.

Henry lead the Titans nowhere.

Barkley lead the Giants nowhere.

Lions are fueled by their top 2 Oline and 2nd in the entire league in RB yards before contact.
Seen how those first 2-3 weeks went, with a healthy line....now picture a better guard in there to the left. Our O-Line can be even better next year, with Some of Moore's asst coaches that could follow. At this point tho, just hope it's him! Titans, Giants didn't have a line, our line will be incredible with a guard free agent pick up or in draft.

I mean, I also saw them against the Eagles in the third game after just one guy, McCoy, went down and they were getting destroyed by the Eagle's D-Line. I also saw them later in the year with McCoy back and maybe down one LG and they were pretty mediocre. The OL isn't a giant liability right now, but it's pretty much so average at best.

At that point, season was done abd McCoy was still not 100% then we was using two men and a truck guards and replacements from off the street. Fuaga was a grandslam 1st rounder, McCoy litteraly one of the best Center in the game Pro bowler, Penning 1st rounder still super young and playing great. Ruiz 1st rounder a decent guard with Penning and McCoy doing what they have to do. That left Guard spot with Fuaga tho gonna be vicious if we get that right. Now you have Kamara/Jeanty on screens and holes all day with Hill coming back would be crazyyyyy. They already mentioned Loomis will let the coach decide, on who the qb will be which if you plug in Darnold, or Fields in there you actually still look better on the run with fields more clock management with Moores calling, or a nice run game with a better passer in Darnold in my opinion.

Doesn't help with rookie QBs playing with no receivers and AK out for a couple of games and Hill's injuries.

The more Jeanty tape I watch the more I come away saying that he is just a ridiculous talent. Did not know this but he has the most yards after contact of any running back ever recorded by PFF.

That would be my preferred option as long as we think there will be a good player on the board at the Cowboys pick. For instance, it might makes sense to take Warner at #12 depending on what his speed and agility numbers are and what type of offense the new HC wants.

I really love Jeanty, but that would be tough to turn down and especially if another elite prospect like Warren was going to be there at 12.
To me, if we want another 2017 draft, we need 2017 assets. A big reason we hit on so many picks is that we had six selections in the first three rounds. We’ve had three drafts since then with less than six picks total.

I’m all for trading to get more top 100 picks.

I can agree with this, as long as Tet isn’t there at 9, or Graham, I’m cool with gaining more top 100 picks. Especially if we’re switching to a 3-4

Same. Guy is going to be a L.T. type ceiling with a very high floor. At absolute WORST, you’re getting prime Mark Ingram.

On the OL, we have one Pro Bowl player in McCoy and one guy that could develop into a Pro Bowl player in Fuaga. Beyond that we have two disappointing first round picks in Ruiz and Penning. Ruiz is around a league average Guard that is inconsistent at best. He ranges from pretty good to below average depending on the game. Penning is a good run blocker but struggles in pass blocking to the point that you have to give him help with chips or keep the TE in to help him block on far to many plays which limits your offense.

That's not a great OL. It's probably a league average OL which is better than was we had two or three years ago, but it's still not what you need if you want to be a really good team. We could use upgrades at all but two spots and we need a starter at one spot, LG. That's 3/5 of the OL that needs a starter or needs an upgrade. Not to mention that we have no depth if any of those guys miss time.

I think you might be getting Mark Ingram or slightly better at Best. Still a first round pick, probably in the mid-teens to mid-20s, but I don't think he's top 10 pick elite.

You’re seeing something that is much different than I see as well as what many draft experts see. But in the end, this is all a crapshoot.

Let's say McMillan and Jeanty are both there at 9. McMillan solves a huge need as a contested catch guy, but Jeanty is a more elite prospect but our O-line this year probably won't let him look elite.

Who would you guys and gals take?
Always take the more elite prospect. That's why I wanted Bowers last year because he is a generational talent. You want those type of guys on your team.
