Hiring Moore = Ashton Jeanty as 1st rd pick? (5 Viewers)

All 3 of your examples are dominant because of their OLINE and not RBs.

Henry lead the Titans nowhere.

Barkley lead the Giants nowhere.

Lions are fueled by their top 2 Oline.
This, for the most part.

Of all the holes on the roster, it's the trenches on both sides of the ball that need to be addressed. Becton's name has been floated here a lot, with Moore expected to be the hire. A quality o-lineman (or d-lineman, really) in free agency would indeed free up the option of Jeanty at 9. The free agency frenzy is more than a month before the draft, and so we have plenty of time to analyze it all.

I Once the RB gets past the line of scrimmage, it's out of the O-line's hands.
Here's some fun stats to put this in perspective.

Barkey 1,328 of his 2,008 yards where before contact 3.8 yards per carry before contact.

Henry 1,011 of his 1,921 yards where before contact 3.1 yards per carry before contact.

Gibbs 813 of his 1.412 where yards before contact 3.3 yards per carry before contact.

All 3 of these guys where lead by their OLine absolutely dominating.

I saw one mock draft where Carter is going at 8. That's just one pick below the Saints. Anything could happen at the 9th position. To say he will be long gone is a stretch.

I know this is just one guy’s opinion, but this just came out today. Carter is quickly becoming “that dude.” The secret is out.

I'd be happy bringing Becton in.
Fuaga, Becton, McCoy, Ruiz, Penning

That's not the worst OL in the league for sure. We will still need to draft an IOL, but it doesn't become an immediate NEED. Could pick up Charles Grant in the 4th round and give him time to develop.

He maybe that dude, but the Browns have no QB. So they go with a DE at the #2 pick. Hey, It's Cleveland

It could be a good move if they decide to do this.
They have the 33rd pick and may want to go QB there for more value. Jaxson Dart, perhaps?

They have 12 picks in this draft!!!!

Titans GM has already come out and said they "aren't passing on generational talent".

That removes any QB from going #1 overall.

Derrick Henry was the wrong example for you to use. He led the Titans to 4 playoff appearances in 7 years with freaking Marcus Mariotta and Ryan Tannehill at QB. They won 3 games after he left.

Barkley had his best season in 2022 and helped Daniel Jones look average enough to land a big contract. As soon as Barkley left the wheels completely fell off and Jones got cut mid-season. They won 3 games after he left.

It's interesting to note, not too much has changed on the Eagles line at all between this year and last. In fact, Kelce retired, so you can argue the line decreased in talent and production a significant deal. Swift couldn't do what Barkley is doing at all, and Swift not only had that Oline, he had that Oline with Kelce who many claim was the best center in the NFL.

I think that fact we have the 9th pick and from what I see, is a considerable drop from top 10 to picks 10-20 means teams are going to be willing to trade into the top 10 and relinquish draft picks to do so, or we stand pat and get BPA.
