This team today wanted to win this game so damn bad for Rizzi. He was fired up all game. I loved watching this game because of his passion alone.

My 80 year old mother texted me asking who the Saints new coach was. I told her and she texted back saying he was exciting to watch and animated. Wait till I tell her his name! The Rizz!

Todd Grantham has been a disappointment. I don't think it's a coincidence the Saints started getting sacks now that he's not coaching the D-line anymore. I'm holding out judgement till we see a few games without Grantham as D-line coach.

Of the top 2 receivers, MVS was sitting on the couch till 2 weeks ago, and Austin was on the practice squad.

Plenty of talent? Sure. Just not at WR. And not at TE, except Taysom.

And the D-line? How many sacks to they have?

Look, we have to be real about this. The Saints are a bad team. Period. They will likely be bad for the next few years as they rebuild. That’s why this win was so impressive. We were clearly overmatched and found a way to win. BTW, if Koo makes all three fgs AND Kamara makes that catch we still win. No point in hypotheticals.

Exactly. Even without all of our injuries it would still be a stretch for anyone to think the Saints are a serious playoff contender. But with all the key injuries including some who are gone for the season, there is no way the Saints could hope to get a playoff berth. The weaknesses we have right now are undeniable.

We've been picking in the late to middle rounds for awhile, we need to get premium picks so we can pick in the mid to late rounds again

I really didn't think we would have back to back splits. Though that's probably because we should have swept them and didn't capitalize week 4. But ever since before the realignment, there's been more sweeps than splits and never a back to back split until now.

Yesterday in a small sample size and with less talent on the field, all the catches were closely contested. That's defensive play calling and scheming the way it should be. And great effort by 27 and 0.

Great point here. There were a few open holes in zone coverage that the falcons took advantage of in the passing game, but a few of their big plays in the air were just amazing throws and catches in close coverage. It didn’t feel like we got outschemed at any point, just beaten by a rush offense that beat up our rush defense and a few perfect throws.
