No hot take from me, I’m still proud of em, still love em. Win or lose. This one got me a little bit tho, I’ll admit it. The way they lost was rough.

If you're a team with limited depth, injuries absolutely can and do derail seasons. Even great teams have a hard time winning if they have injuries at key positions. I'm not putting this game on injuries tho. Shaheed muffing a punt and Carr throwing a freak pick 6 hurt.

That said, the going for it on 4th when not necessary bugs me. Kick the FG and take the points. Both the last 2 games, those points off the board were the difference in the game.

Still though, it’s the NFL. Rosters are small, injuries are one of few guarantees.

It will have to be proven to me that a team with Dennis Allen as HC can succeed when there’s adversity.

Here’s a hot take. With all the injuries we have and a couple of tough games coming, this is the season where the bottom falls out and we end up with a top 5 pick.

Great post, agree completely. We’re in purgatory and it’d be nice if the GM had the ambition to at least attempt to break out of it.

The goal for every team is to win a Super Bowl. Surely when you have a HC and QB who’ve shown no signs of ever being capable of delivering that, you make a change.

I wouldn't say all that. From what my eyes saw, Carr has a decent game. Allen called a great defense until he didn't at his usual time in the game. It's all on the defensive coordinator. Woods probably would have vetoed the decision, but Allen is the HC

Failing to draft depth will continue to kill the team. Holding on to busts like Turner, Miller and Penning instead of bringing in players who can contribute will continue to kill the team. Wasting draft capital to trade of for busts will continue to kill this team. Other teams seem to find offensive linemen and tight ends in the draft. And our head coach will continue to kill this team.

In today’s game he (Taysom) was the most important player on the field. Anyone telling you otherwise shouldn’t be trusted.

Things just seem to spin in the wrong direction with him as head coach.. the sense of impending doom in games like these is just always there.

Eh, AK did alright in the 2nd half. What Hill does is give the offense more options. That's certainly valuable, but doesn't make him MVP of the offense. AK is clearly that guy.

I've long been a fan of Hill. Still am. AK is the MVP of the offense by every metric though. Maybe the better term is he's the X-factor, the guy who elevates the offense to another level. We absolutely need both him and AK healthy. Hill gets injured too often though. If he could stay healthy, would be a different story.
