I wanna blame someone… (1 Viewer)

Play calling is to blame imo.
1. Continually running to the right when there's nothing there; while ignoring the fact that there was success running left.
2. Playing man coverage with long yardage to gain field goal position put the DB's in a bad position. PI.

We are a bit inconsistent at the worst times. And we lack big stars on both sides of the ball to be our gotos in tight games.

EVERY QB has passes batted down, and a lot are picked. If the LT or LG would have chipped Judon like they were probably supposed to the screen might have worked
Trying to absolve Carr of what he did is just plain silly. While someone could have chipped Judon doesn't take away the fact that Carr stared at an unblocked Judon and proceeded to throw it directly at the mans face. He panicked like he always does and makes bad decisions with the football. He is an underwhelming player that isnt a good decision maker which is why he wins about 45% of his games and has 0 playoff wins in 12 years.

At this point…. Yes. Because the consistent alternative has been if we leave anything more than 30 seconds on the clock…. The other team goes down and makes the game winning score. It’s not even a question of if at this point.

Kicking FGs early in the game instead of chasing points or being “aggressive” would also be helpful.
Wouldn’t better option be to have your HC learn from his mistakes of the past 5 years and teach his team how to secure a victory in the last 2 minutes of the game.

…and I’m the last person to make excuses.

But other than Shaheed’s massive gaffe, it’s hard to find too much to be mad about. I liked the game plan. I liked (most of) the playcalling.

The injuries really suck. And we got a screen pass tipped 283 feet into the air. But the defense didn’t give up a single offensive touchdown. Need the pass rush to get better. But it’s hard to find too much fault.

Hopefully this loss doesn’t cost us anything meaningful. But I feel good about this team moving forward (if they can actually get reasonably healthy).
Losing Taysom was huge. The team fought hard for four quarters. DA not addressing tight end during the offseason was a big mistake. We have to play with the players we have going forward. Kubiak needs to have two game plans one that includes Taysom and one without him. Idk know what can be done about the tighend position.

Bad take, Brees and Brady had this happen to them throughout their careers. It happens.

Blame Carr too

2 weeks in a row his passes have been batted down. Unfortunately this one went in the Falcons direction for pick 6.

Blame Dennis Allen for not blitzing more on Cousins. Giving him all day to throw.

Blame Paulson Adebo for not turning his head and having a stupid game today.
We should have been in zone more
