I want no part of Aaron Glenn as a HC (40 Viewers)

It's still only on half of football where his offense has turned the ball over 3 times. I don't even really like Glenn's defense and he's not my choice for HC, but it is an overreaction to call Glenn's defense trash based on one half of football when compared to his career as a DC.

Look... even if he decides to play more zone and 2 man with a spy in the 2nd half... it still doesn't excuse the decision to do what he did in the 1st...

It borders on brash incompetence... and we know what that looks like.

Our defense did a better job against this team with much less to play for and much less talent.

Agreed. Think of it this way, Widge. OUR defense did a better job against the Deadskins. Both halves. With Rattler and a bunch of JAGs backing up the D. It'd be different if we were comparing against a team we haven't played this season, but given how recent the game was, we can almost make a 1 for 1 comparison. I understand he's got a MASH unit on D, but so did we. And the Lions actually have a pass rush.

Didn't say it did excuse it, but it's still only one half of football compared to his career as a DC. There are many other valid reasons to think Glenn isn't the right guy, but one sheetty half of defense isn't close to the biggest reason. You certainly take it into consideration, but it's not good enough on it's own.

I don't disagree that he has done a really bad job in this game. I'm just saying it's one half of football and one game. It no more means that he's a terrible HC than the fact that DA shutout Brady one times meant he was going to be a great HC. It's part of the conversation, but not the end of it.

It's a huge deal for Detroit, but it's not for a team considering him as a HC. Anyway, hopefully Glenn goes to the Jets and we get Kingsbury.

I'd be happy with Brady, Moore, or McCarthy too. Despite how opinionated I am, I'm not sure who my favorite is, but it may be McCarty followed by Kingsbury. Although I really like the upside of Brady and Moore. I also think they would play a more exciting brand of football.

I'd be fine with Moore too... Not my 1st or 2nd choice... Just really don't want a defensive coach.... I was open to the idea of Glenn.... But his decisions in this game have been abysmal.... despite the injuries.
