I want no part of Aaron Glenn as a HC (75 Viewers)

I’m just here to say “generational talent” is used way too much.

If he plays in the same league at the same time as Mahomes, Allen and Lamar then he can be as good as them but not generational.

I’ll escort myself out.

I think he is better than Allen and Lamar. I would say he is talent not seen before in the NFL. Equally dangerous with his legs and Arms.

I'm glad nobody is overreacting to one half of football against a generational talent QB when one of the QBs have thrown 2 interceptions in a half (3 total turnovers). Everyone being totally cool and rational just like always.

Dude. They didn’t stop anyone, all game, had killer stupid penalties…..4th down,,automatic first because Det has 12 in the huddle) …..consistently lost running lanes for Daniels.

Yes, obviously all coaches should be judged based on one terrible game. Like Dan Quinn. He blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl. He is obviously a terrible HC and nobody should ever give him a HC job again after that game.

I was about to say this.

The Lions had more defensive injuries than we had offensive injuries, way more.

They still got to the divisional playoff round.

I'll take Glenn in a heartbeat.
And yet, they still lost by two TD's and was out-matched, out-played by a rookie QB on an above-average team that barely beat a fiesty, competitive Tampa team by a last-second FG that doinked off the side at the last minute before being counted.

All SB-winning or capable teams have injuries this time of year. You have to win the big games still with who you have and even in spite of some very really good teams not having these same play-makers, many still find ways to win, regardless. Aaron Glenn didn't do that today and like it or not, his defense's porous, lackluster performance today likely cost him a few NFL HC job openings.

Nah Widge... We aint being coy bout this one... this is national TV playoff squeal like a pig defense... not some overreaction.

Our defense did a better job against this team with much less to play for and much less talent.
SMH , if 1 game as DC with a squad that had been even more decimated by injuries than we were is all the reason you need to determine that AG is not the guy to be our next HC , then I thank all that is holy across all religions that you are NOT out GM and make those decisions

Agreed. Think of it this way, Widge. OUR defense did a better job against the Deadskins. Both halves. With Rattler and a bunch of JAGs backing up the D. It'd be different if we were comparing against a team we haven't played this season, but given how recent the game was, we can almost make a 1 for 1 comparison. I understand he's got a MASH unit on D, but so did we. And the Lions actually have a pass rush.
WE did NOT have a MASH unit for a defense. C'mon man . AG's D was more decimated by injuries than OUR offense. And the Lions turn the ball over what 6 times . The 86 bears when healthy could not overcome that SMH

Despite his Falcons making a decent post-season run the next year in 2017 and losing a close, very winnable game @ Philly, his tenure in Atlanta following that historic, catastrophic 28-3 second-half SB loss to NE was never the same. It didnt help that Quinn lost a highly-creative, innovative OC in Kyle Shanahan who briefly turned just good Matt Ryan into an NFL MVP for 2016 season, regressed back to being just "really good" QB and his team's roster and depth aged, lot older, and he made some less than intelligent or wise draft picks.

It took Quinn sort of going back to the drawing board, re-learning some of the nuances and lessons of being a great DC and maximizing his second chance. It's also probable that maybe Quinn was a bit too young and inexperienced about 10 years ago going into his first HC job with Falcons. He seems far more seasoned, more prepared as a HC, not as impulsive and while he's very lucky he hit the lottery with a rookie phenom QB, he made sure to maximize the talent base around him and ensure he'd still be successful while he was learning the complexities of an NFL offense.
