Which one of them can get the ball out accurately 1.5 seconds and has bones made of granite?

Sorry man, this team is in desperate need of a solid rookie QB going forward on a rookie deal for 4 or 5 years. It’s how every single team that is a contender right this moment was built along the way, except Detroit. It’s not like your analogy at all
Or to extend your analogy it’s like seeing a college big hitter (who hasn’t faced a lot of pro ready arms ) and jumping on that while you still need 1st & 3rd basemen - I’m pretending 1st & 3rd are O & D linemen
The problem with the team now is not their drafting approach- it’s that they’ve had too many misses drafting linemen
Carr is clearly not the answer, but he could have been much better this year if Oline had protected and run blocked at beginning of year
And once O got it together, Dline forgets how to play
Here’s my hot take
If our recent draft choices had lived up to their draft position, we’d be set for a deep playoff run even with Carr
And the corollary is that no QB we can draft will help fix the trenches
I’m not at all saying we don’t need a QB, I’m saying drafting a QB no matter what because we need one has a much higher failure rate than successSorry man, this team is in desperate need of a solid rookie QB going forward on a rookie deal for 4 or 5 years. I agree with this 100%. Never draft a QB just because it’s a need. Find a way to go get your guy, or address other needs.I’m not at all saying we don’t need a QB, I’m saying drafting a QB no matter what because we need one has a much higher failure rate than success
If (the new HC and OC) find their guy available, of course they go get him, but the ‘21 draft class should be more of a cautionary tale and to try to not fill an inside straight
I was going to suggest something like this. Look at the 49ers. Now granted, they sorta stumbled upon this by accident, but it’s a copy cat league. They found their playmakers on both sides of the ball and then lucked out with Purdy as Mr Irrelevant. Dont get me wrong, Purdy is good, but when CMC and Deebo was out, they lost 3 straight. That’s no fluke. So many teams want to find the QB first, then they take forever to build around that QB (for the most part). If the QB is not there, just draft play makers and stink it up every year until the right QB falls to the Saints eventually in one of these upcoming drafts.
The Saints will be top 10 in drafts for at-least the next 3-4 seasons, that I am assumung.
Carr will start the season as QB1 regardless of who we pick in the draft....but without anyone capable of pass protecting out front whoever we draft is gonna get slammed onto IR by week 4
Keon Coleman could be a sleeper, he is from Opelousas, LA (best city in LA). This is the same city as Devery Henderson and we know how that turned out.You grab Malik Nabers,Coleman or Brock Bowers in the 1st and grab Jordan Travis in the 2nd if Daniels is unavailable.
The best QB in the league today was taken with the last pick in the draft. You can find QBs any round
