Indiana Jones 5? (2 Viewers)

no. thanks.

jones will be digging up his own bones by the time they've prized the last shekel from viewers' hands
Well, I had similar sentiments about the Top Gun sequel, but it turned out to be pretty great, so I'm willing to give this one the benefit of the doubt.

Point taken but I gave Crystal Skull the benefit of the doubt and we know how that turned out

I haven't seen the Top Gun sequel yet but it probably didn't have Maverick time traveling to the 1980s so that the series could introduce the new and improved young ace that new movies will be based on.

But that does sound like a cool Top Gun/Final Countdown crossover now that I'm saying it out loud.

Ok. Nevermind my sarcasm. I'm all in.

Maverick was.......AWESOME! The total reason to go to the theater.

My nephew actually had a great premise for Indiana Jones 5 - The Fountain of Youth. Indy finds the fountain, walks in, goes under and Chris Pratt comes out as the young Indy! I like his thinking on this.

After seeing the trailer and knowing that James Mangold is directing, I'm in. These take me back to my childhood and as my 20 year old said, my four year old self can't wait for this!

Can't wait till it comes out and everyone says how disappointing it is.
Apparently, you don't even have to wait. The trailer has been out not even a day and already there's griping about "how bad this looks," and a big stink over the "it's called capitalism" line.

I'm on the fence. It is worrisome that Spielberg and Lucas basically had no creative input in this film nor are they actually involved other than their names being attached through "Lucasfilm" and Spielberg being named an executive producer. Then again, Spielberg directed the "Indiana Jones and Close Encounters" trash that was the fourth film, so who knows?

Mads Mikkleson is a good actor, so I would think his presence is a good sign. Then again, even Laurence Olivier was in a couple of real turkeys. It all starts with how good the script is, then next depends on if the director is good at what they do before you even get to the actors.

I've always been an Indiana Jones fan. but first aliens and now (potential) time travel? why can't they stick to what made the series great, like the realistic lore of stuff? I mean, the last one was ok, it was the typical Indiana Jones sequences which I love. and I'm sure I'll like this one. but I feel like they are trying too hard..

so, the anti-snowflake snowflakes that cry about Cancel culture basically crying about that line in the movie?
