Inflation here? gas/grocery prices just continue to climb (42 Viewers)

Powell isn't really one of Trump's "people" or someone he'd want at that position, but Chairman of the Federal Reserve is an extremely powerful position and if Trump were to try to attempt to get rid of him or apply political pressure to make him resign/retire, he'd also be attacking some very powerful and well-vested financial interests and these people are some Trump knows all too well and fears probably. So, Trump will instead play the waiting game and not many significant moves against Federal Reserve or Powell until his current term runs out in June 2026. I realize that isn't one of Trump's strengths as he's increasingly impulsive, and lacks a basic, functioning filter most days, but this he won't fork with because bluntly, they could ruin him if they wanted to or if he started infringing on their territory.

Many of these powerful NYC Wall St. investors, bond and hedge fund owners also probably know potentially damaging information about him that perhaps most Americans or most people in general don't know about and if these sorts of potential charges would stick hard, fast and quickly.

lets be honest...if removing Powell was in his interest, he would remove him.

He has already floated idea

but im sure many have advised him to "stand back and stand by" ;)

He's a proud man

Just spoke to friend who reps building materials out of Denver.

Just got done sending revised invoices for post 3/4 purchases to customers.

Lost coverage in mountains but waiting to hear if full 25% ...which I imagine it will be or close to it.

I'm multi-lingual.

Mr. Life has an acquaintance who lives in Denver and he hustles building materials for a living.

The acquaintance, anticipating the tariffs beginning on time, reviewed all orders coming up after March 4th, updated them based on projections to include the tariffs, and distributed the revised invoices to the customers.

The acquaintance lost his cell signal while traveling through the mountains of the great American West, but Mr. Life eagerly awaits a return correspondence from his acquaintance to confirm whether the invoices increased the full rumored tariff amount of approximately 25%.

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar

Please tell me he’s done his own research so I can have a little confidence in this
He has, but I'm searching for the appropriate Schoolhouse Rock video as a peer-assist before I fully jump on board with him. He wasn't overly impressed with suggestions from the LSE.

So they don't sell lumber...so clear there. Said they moved pricing 10% as a preliminary move. May go up more after 3/4, depending on forecast of how long the tariffs will be around.
