Is Kellen Moore not impressed with Rattler? (8 Viewers)

No one was actually impressed with Rattler. The people that talk him up base it around the lack of talent around him, not the talent he actually showed on the field. Hope and a dream stuff that Rattler was Joe Montana without a Jerry Rice. Good QBs elevate the people around them. Rattler did nothing of the sort. 4 TDs, 5 INTs, 40 qbr, 70 rating and completed 57% of his passes. He was a 5th round pick, that played exactly like a 5th round pick. He is Jameis without the crab legs and a lower ceiling.

People have made him out to be some kind of cornerstone, based on his statistics in March. The whole thing with Rattler is truly absurd.

You can believe that maybe Rattler, despite what your eyes told you, can be an upper level QB if you surround him with an offense chock full of hall of fame caliber talent. But you certainly shouldnt be impressed enough to not do your homework on a potential franchise QB.

I can see moore wanting to choose his QB. A lot of new coaches want his guy under center.

I can also see a new and very young first time head coach wanting a younger QB. Moore and Carr are around the same age and even played against each other in college. Lack of an age gap could become a rub in respect and chain of command. Especially if things dont go well early on.

No one was ever impressed by Ratt. We, as a fanbase, have been desperate for an elite QB since Drew left. The endless what-if threads about Jameis, Taysom, Ian, Jake, and Ratt all point to this. If we were a QB farm like GB years back, maybe, but we're not. We need a guy, and most people know neither Carr nor Ratt ain't it.

The organization likes Rattler.

I don't think he's being cut anytime soon, since they just drafted him. However, I doubt Moore sees him as the QB of the future.
