Opinion Isaiah Foskey will breakout in 2025 (12 Viewers)

Turner is a free agent so I suspect he will have that injury for another team.
Yep and his recent IG post stating that no matter how amazing you are, if you’re in the wrong place you’re worthless….shows he’s probably not trying to stay here lol.

He may fancy himself the next Baun, I look forward to seeing if that’s the case.

Even with lousy coaching, I expect a fairly high second-round pick in his first two years to show something, to offer some glimpse of his potential with additional maturity. Like Stanley Jean-Baptiste, Foskey, though he was picked much higher in the second round, has shown nothing. I would not be surprised if he fails to make the team this year.

Did a little research on Foskey. According to Fox Sports, he started slow in camp in 2023. He then had a quadricep injury early in November. In early 2024 after the Carolina game he had a back injury. So, it would seem that his development has been slowed by injuries.
Take that into consideration when criticizing his performance and/or production. Keep in mind that he is second string too.

I didnt see anything out of him in his limited time to say he could contribute, but I do want to give him a chance in new system- he certainly looked more comfortable in a stand-up role, based on that highlight video. maybe he can be the anti Zach baun, and new staff uses him correctly to puts him inn a position to succeed

Im always erring on the side of doomsday pessimism, and would have very confidently posted a chris farley laughter meme at this post at any other point in the last 4 years;

However, after seeing how unbelievably misused Baun was, I willing to believe any of our players can breakout..

With a hard execption to ancient relics we currently still have on this roster. They all need to go now.

Since he hasn't been on the field hardly at all, there's nothing to see. :)

Coaches have their own biases about players. I was second/third string at one school. Switched schools and was starting the next year.

IMO I think he will have a break out season this year. He has the potential to be elite. I think he wasn't coached up correctly these past 2 seasons. According to Cam Jordan , Todd Grantham the DL coach wasn't teaching players technique in a interview he had. (Can't remember with who)That's vital to young players. We may already have one of our position of needs on the roster. As long as we get the right DC and DL coach. A player picked 40th is basically a 1st round talent. Just my opinion.

He has a better chance of breaking out of a maximum security prison. I suspect he will not make it to training camp.

Right he doesn't have enough bend to be a hand in the dirt edge rusher. He has been another guy in a long line of square peg round hole types for this team. In a 3-4 as a stand up rusher he could finally utilize his speed..hopefully.

We all saw what happened with Zach Baun.
I think this too. He's a speed to power guy that was never going to cut it as a 4-3 DE. He lacks the big initial explosion to win and is as stiff as a board.

I've listened to a couple media guys talk about how he was used in the Vyper role in Notre Dames defense. Basically a stand up rushing linebacker so he probably stands to benefit more than anyone else from Staley's hire.

Maybe move him around let him rush some from the inside where he can use his speed

Based on?

Not to be a downer, but we've seen literally nothing from Foskey to justify this belief.
