Israel (now broader Mid East discussion) (3 Viewers)

Yea I'm totally sure this was a "pro-Hamas protest". Coming from a twitter account called Israel War Room. Not saying this is outright BS, but to take this at face value given the circumstances is at best presumptious.

EDIT: Did a little scroll of the Israel War Room twitter account and, yea, it should be trusted as much as a Hamas War Room Twitter account

Are you saying it didn’t happen?

Thanks for posting the exact same thing from the NY Post. Really cleared things up. And after reading that I dunno how you can infer anything that's really serious from it.

EDIT: O heavens no, anything but this. The Israel War Room assured me this was a dire situation.
"The 11 Jewish students opted to stay inside and ride out the protests.
When they walked outside, the pro-Palestinian demonstrators were standing silently outside displaying their signs."

So he explains "martyrs" but doesn't explain "from the river to the sea"

Context indeed.
I already posted about that
Though that chant is used by different people for different reasons, it's origins were refering to the Palestinian borders drawn by 1949 armstice agreement following the Arab-Israeli war. Of course to Israel and allies, this solely translates to the end of Israel as a state. And to be fair, some people/groups I'm sure do mean it that way, but certianly not all. I'd say the majority don't mean that. So, still, nothing about this conflict is simple.

This also is a good time to mention that Visegrad24 has some pretty clearly defined political leanings. That tweet's (X's?) assertion is one example of that.

The contextual aspect is now it's used with another phrase "martyrs". Which turns the whole spectacle into a very subjective place. If they know that it has double meanings, then they are doing knowing some will misinterpret. If they don't know, then they are still fomenting anger by using phrases they don't even know can be interpreted.

Words matter. Always have. This whole double entendre aspect thar has taken hold...say what you mean and mean what you say

They are clearly attempting to enter the locked doors.

Or maybe they don't care about how reactionaries are gonna receive the message because they're the ones who hold all the power and control the narrative.

Thanks for presenting yet another clearly and obviously unbiased stance on this. The "leftist / Palestinian" bit is great.

The Eisenhower carrier strike group is reported to have departed after a delay and is about half way across the Atlantic en route to the ME.

Ugh. I’m thinking Israel needs to just go in on the ground, which apparently they are postponing. These missile attacks are too indiscriminate and terrorizing. You want Hamas, go get Hamas.
Yeah, that's where I'm at as well. I'm not so sure the shelling is actually accpmishing much from a tactical standpoint. It's time to go root them out and do what you have to do.

It's a video with sound.

Not edited not slanted...a video with sound from inside the union.

Not sure how you gloss over the fact you can clearly hear the protestors chanting and attempting to enter the union. Sowing fear.

I read something today that I'm not sure I'm reading right. Over 2300 kids killed in Gaza so far. In comparison around 1700 in Ukraine. 2300 in 3 weeks. If that's indeed true it's inexcusable.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which is a government agency. That government is run by Gaza. Whether you believe those numbers is up to you.

What is the point of this post?
Just a banger of an insta post. Every line is almost poetic. "Terrorist speak" from a 7 year old "Hamas boy". Chef's kiss.

It's become pretty clear where you and a whole lot of other people are gonna end up goin for the rest of this thread so I thought I'd drop that gem in the likely case I voluntarily excuse myself from this increasingly normal thread.
