It appears the Kellen Moore thing is shaky (13 Viewers)

I wouldn’t be so sure. I wanted Brady the most and settled on Moore as my 2nd pick. But my gut feeling all along has been Rizzi. Loomis absolutely loves continuation. It also wouldn’t surprise me at all if Brees phone rings for a QB coach job if Rizzi gets it. Hell, maybe even straight to OC.
I do think in time Drew Brees will get into coaching. Once his kids have grown up.

The Saints better sign 25 players on day 1 of free agency or the new theory will be “nobody wants to play here”

They better offer rookies their contracts 30 minutes after they draft them or the next new theory will be “the rookies don’t want to sign here”

The first player on offense to each drop a ball, throw a pass off the mark, miss a block, and fumble in mini-camp will be “proof that nobody wants to play on this offense” - and the first player on defense to each miss a tackle, miss a sack, drop an interception, and get blocked out of a play will be “proof that nobody wants to play on this defense”

Kicker misses a kick? “Doesn’t wanna play here” - punter tries to put one in the corner but hits a touchback instead? “Doesn’t wanna punt here” - kick teams gunner misses a play? “Doesn’t wanna be on the team”

First guy to take his helmet off at the end of practice “doesn’t wanna be here” - last guy on the practice field “wants to play somewhere else” - player doesn’t clap his hands hard enough or celebrate loud enough will be “malcontent who wants no part of the Saints”

Theories are fun

I don’t see it at all. He has too much money and too many businesses to want to work those ridiculous hours away from his family.

Only cause of Andrew Tate then somehow we also had to group all these guys walking around with purses.
He wasn't the only one. Now, it's called the "manosphere," and it's largely based on a bunch of patriarchal stereotypes.

You are kidding right? Moore is the hire.
My comment was meaning if all this is true and its this dire then just go with who I mentioned.

But to your comment about Moore being the hire. I personally think not. I still believe its McCarthy until that door is shut.

The dudes addicted. He’s foaming at the mouth and jumps any time he can professionally be involved in football even if it’s just talking. Idk how to explain it. But I know people (and I myself am one) who coach sports and started for their kids and continue long after their kids grow up. It’s like an addictive competitive nature that can only get the fix one way and that’s still competing. And there’s a massive thrill of achievement when the people you’ve been working with achieve a massive milestone and it’s enough to bring even the manliest of men with a stone heart to tears.

He sure led Boise St. to a 50-3 record with him as a starting QB. A guy who is not a leader of young men, does not do that.
Being a coaches son, he knows the game, he didn't have the physical abilities to compete consistently at the highest level, but he made a seamless transition into the NFL coaching ranks

We want a young up and coming offensive coach and he may not be the one some wanted but it does not mean he's not a good hire if he gets the job

He's not CSP, but he's taken familiar steps to becoming the Saints head coach as CSP.

If McCarthy was the hire he would’ve been hired already. Hell, he would’ve at the very least been interviewed already.

The team delaying the McCarthy interview tells me he is a fallback option if they can’t get their guy.

I was told there are doubts around his ability to lead. Was told that yesterday morning.

My question is why are you having those doubts as you’re flying to Philly ? Wouldn’t you have had them before then ?

Brady torched them and declined interview , Kingsbury didn’t torch them but declined the opportunity to interview.

There is now a funk on the team and organization that might be hard to shake. The Ownership / Loomis stuff is getting traction ( rightfully so or undeserved it really doesn’t matter at the point ) People are leaving the organization including a guy in the search process. Again right or wrong it looks very bad.

What if ? What if they get up there and Kellen Moore doesn’t exactly clear his schedule what if he takes the interview but on his own time and terms ? If the Saints were to offer Kellen Moore and he needs 24 hours to decide if he wants the job and then declines it would be catastrophic.

I THINK there is some fear to offer him bc he might not take the offer.

His agent is the same as Joe Brady FWIW.

If you couldn’t get your Top 3 guys you hire Rizzi and save face and ‘keep shopping’ during his tenure.

They have not only messed this entire process up badly but they are taking massive reputation hits along the way in NFL circles.

I’m not sure what they’re doing now. I am sure as of 2 days ago they were flying up to lock down Kellen Moore. Something happened. Can’t get a straight answer as to what. But that’s my theory.
This isn’t the sense I’m getting. Moore cannot be hired officially until after the Super Bowl. He could still back away just as the team could pivot. But the tea leaves are reading Moore.

Now, there are some things that have happened that have contributed to perceptions about the team. Some things have been falsely reported/misreported like the Glenn stuff. And while those things are untrue the organization isn’t going to go out and dispel those rumors because 1.) it’s not their style and 2.) they do not care about outside chatter. Of course, there’s a downside to it because all of it gets conflated with other things that have transpired are true. And ultimately, it doesn’t place the organization in the best light. That being said, not every coach that has backed out has done so because they think ill of the organization. Some of it is TRULY about self-preservation.
If the Saints hire Rizzi that really tells me something. If Rizzi is your guy you wouldn't have let some coaches get away, especially Kubiak, would you? Surely, Rizzi wouldn't want Kubiak getting away and then having to bring someone in with a new offense, as Kubiak's is the best option for Carr, and for stability on offense. Letting coaches go to other teams was to me a clear indication that the Saints were moving on from Rizzi and possibly the entire current coaching staff. Right now, one would think that if it isn't Moore, it's going to be McCarthy... Edit: ... and just because I said that they will hire either Kafka or Weaver.
I agree with the overarching point that it would tell us something. But…Rizzi, if hired, already had plans to make several changes to the coaching staff. And if Kubiak was still around, he’d likely be released. Same for some other coaches. Darren has plotted making several changes not only to the coaching staff but also to the way business is conducted throughout the organization.
