Yes, the city council struck it down because they were unable to get state support in any way. If you would like it from the horse's mouth.Boil-water advisory lifted for city of Jackson
Gov. Tate Reeves says the boil-water advisory has been lifted for the city of Jackson.www.wapt.com
I think 3 lawsuits so far have been filed, with the EPA involved government officials are open game, like Flynt, MI if the governor or governors are to blame they will be charged. I did read where the former mayor (Yarber) tried to declare a state of emergency for the state to come in but the city council struck him down, so perhaps all of the bafoonery will catch up with all those involved.
Check this one out. Reeves claims the State gave Jackson $200M but bank records show they only actually gave them $480k and forgave a $1.5M loan. Like, no sheet, you can' t make this stuff up. The state of Ms literally gave 2.5 times more money to Brett Favre to build his daughter's volleyball team a new gym than they did the state's capital city.
Reeves claims Miss. gave Jackson $200M for infrastructure. Where did that money come from?
The amount includes ARPA funds, loans and one-percent infrastructure tax revenues.
