I just wanted to compile a list of all the things Winston has done best throughout his career and in 2021 for fellow Winston supporters to appreciate.

Currently he has the #7 best passer rating in the league for qualifying qbs w/100+ passes.

One of the big reasons that I'm so enthusiastic about the saints drafting TE Trey McBride is because Winston has usually been top 5 in the league when Targeting TEs.

Winston has also consistently been one of the top QBs outside of the pocket

He's even improved this year in the Saints offense from a clean pocket.

I was very impressed at Winston's check down game this season. In Tampa he rarely it checked down and when he did it was off target, probably from timing being off, but towards games 4 and 5 he and Alvin really started clicking. Winston still needs to have better pocket awareness, though. If we can afford it, we should offer 4 or 5 year contract at 18.5 to 19.5 million per

In another thread some guy is off the rails claiming that he hasn't shown enough to be worth that when Rookies are signing deals for $24 mil guaranteed.

Jimmy Garoppolo showed even less before inking his mega contract in 2018 worth $90 million guaranteed.

"Garoppolo finished the 2017 season with 1,560 passing yards

seven passing touchdowns
five interceptions

11 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown.

On February 8, 2018, the 49ers and Garoppolo agreed to terms on a 5-year contract worth a maximum of $137.5 million. At the time of its signing, it was the largest contract in NFL history on an annual basis, surpassing that of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. It also has nearly $90 million in guarantees in the first three years, also the largest total in NFL history."

And TBH that comes w/ rhythm which you can't get only throwing on average 23 passes per game

It's amazing how he was the laughing stock when he was a Buc and now that he is a Saint he has this cult following of Saints fans depicting him as the second coming.

He looks like Jamies Winston in a Saints uniform, now whether someone's takes that as good or bad is predicated on how you took that statement but he is who he is

At least he was a starter and not a 4th string rookie qb riding the pine with no career passes.šŸ˜¬

Sounds more like a reason why a Team wouldn't throw big money at Winston especially without completing a full season or two in their system.

You don't throw money at a player because you like him but because they put together multiple seasons and shown the ability to be a key piece in the success of a team, Winston played 7 games. Bring him back on another 1 year deal.

Actually it's a perfect reason to throw more at him than rookies are guaranteed who have never even stepped on an NFL field.

They like Rookies and guarantee them nearly $30mil sight unseen.
