Jersey Mike's coming to Da Metrys...

if you have had the Philly, then you have had no 17.

my first time, about a year ago, ( just after we opened our Northshore office ) I wandered in and saw the Philly. I can't explain how picky I am about this sub. So when deciding, the owner happened to be there and started to give me low down on the more best selling subs. I said "I think I gotta try the Philly, but I gotta admit I'm pretty picky about that sub". He said if its not what I thought it would be its on him.

never tried another sub since. Regular, bag of harvest cheddar sun chips and Pepsi ( which is the only time I drink Pepsi )

My first day back in Metairie, I told entire office how crazy it was Metairie didn't have a Jersey Mikes.

Looks like it will be next to Clearview Mall- in same strip as Izzos Illegal Burrito. Looking forward to this. I may treat the office so long as everyone gets the Philly lolol.

My only problem with their Philly, and the reason i tell them to hold the cheese- is that they use something called ‘white American cheese’ on it.. which is just their version of the American cheese product crap that most fast food places use to save a buck.. it’s nasty, and it cant even legally be called cheese , since it’s literally just chemicals mixed together to try and approximate the taste of cheese.. but, i digest…. Anyway, it never really occurred to me until typing this thread, but next time i may ask them to make me a Philly using the provolone that they use on the turkey and the Italian.. i dont see why they wouldnt do it .

so maybe its an individual store thing...because Mandeville shop its nothing but provolone. Which is key like you said.

I dont know the #s, but at Jersey Mike’s im usually about that Italian sub life, ’Mike’s Way’ add spicy mustard and jalapeños ..

I saw them making this...guy ahead of me ordered. Holy cow...the red wine vinegar im guessing?- that sub was floating in that bag. Im watching kid make and like ok I think that's enough...nope. keep pouring on. I had heartburn just watching lol.

Dammit efil ya made me go and pull up the Jersey Mike’s online menu.. it seems to be standardized for the whole country. . and the menu items have been the same at every location ive been to.. So unless the Mandeville franchisee has decided to go rogue, i think youve been eating white American cheese

White American cheese is a thing and you can get it sliced (or whole) at any grocery deli. And the reason cheese is orange is because of food coloring.

Over here where I’m from, the upper echelon refer to this fine establishment as Michael de la Jerze.

Get some class about yourselves. :jpshakehead:

The only Philly Cheesesteak sandwich I've had was from Domino's(oven baked) and it was awesome along with their chicken bacon ranch one. I absolutely love every single sandwich I've had from them which is about 2-3.

WOW.

I had always surmised it was provolone.
Maybe I've been bamboozled by the flavor of caramelized onions and peppers. Im gonna specifically ask for provolone Monday and see if I can't taste the difference.
