A part of me wonders if #2 is off the table and being held for someone that can’t change numbers yet, Olave.

Really hard to imagine a great number like that lasting this long this day and age with these new numbering rules otherwise.

Hate LBs wearing single digits, but I agree, Orji would rock the zero.

This may be a dumb question but if a plpayer is on the practice squad, do they get to keep their number?

Rattler wears #18 to honor Archie Manning, his # at Ole Miss. Archie has been mentoring Rattler since he was drafted. I doubt he changes his number because of that.

I like linebackers in 40s/50s/90s. I’ve always thought the 80s for wide receivers looked weird. That numbering convention from the 1970s should have gone:

QB- 0-19
RB, WR, CB, S- 20-49
T, G, C, DE, DT, LB- 50-99
K, P- any

I want Grupe to change his number to 88 so that they overlap on the sides.

You typed nothing wrong. I'm just of an age where I'm used to seeing professional receivers wearing a number in the 80's. That was part of graduating from the college level.
