Joe Brady withdraws from Saints HC search (50 Viewers)

I agree. I’m saying I believe the team is gonna be bad to very bad for the next couple of seasons.

If we draft well, clean the cap, this season and next…then by the third year we hire that young up and comer with some more talent and a much better cap situation. If they hire MM he’s established so I hope they’d give him 3 years.

I think if you get the right coach with the right culture setting ability, X's and O's, and talent evaluation skills to make up for Loomis' deficiencies, you can be okay for the next couple years and then much better in 3 years. But, I don't think Rizzi is the guy that's going to do that. Rizzi seems more like the guy who you have two very bad years while wasting the good draft picks and then you have to start over in 3 years.

I do think that McCarthy can get you to around .500 for the next couple years while helping to build the roster, but I'm not sure that Kafka or Weaver could pull that off. Going to be very tough if McCarthy doesn't take the job.

We literally settling for coaches that nobody wants now. That's some serious denial and copium.
We gonna sign Rizzi and just what happens happens ....we gonna suck for 5 yrs max but by then we should be outta cap hell

2 candidates that knew the Saints the best and you couldn’t get either in the building. For those in denial still, good luck.

I was told by a friend that McCarthy is thinking about taking a year off. That’s the reason he hasn’t set any interviews. We’ll see but I’m going put some money on Rizzi right now at +1500
Interesting, I was just considering that

I fail to see the difference between us and Jacksonville with Baalke before they fired him. When even Nick can’t sugar coat it, then you know there’s a big problem.

Gayle Benson needs to take control of this franchise and move Loomis upstairs. Anyone who refuses to believe he is the issue is very naive.
The problem is that they'll want to fill in it with an internal hire. So, that's not going to help us either.

Brady is 35 years old. He can put up three or four more years of skins on the wall and still be the wunderkind.

Coming to New Orleans could have a huge upside for a guy like Brady. You turn it around here, you're a legend. But -- to be frank -- the chances that it wouldn't work out with the Saints are high enough that he just doesn't need to roll the dice right now. Imagine being 37 or 38 and washing out as an NFL head coach. Josh McDaniels did that and had to wait 12 more years for his next opportunity.
At least Brady has more success to his resume.

Outside of Tom Brady, Daniels sucked and in particular his offenses as an HC. Brady made many people look like good OCs, Weiss, Obrien, Leftwich and of course Daniels

Plan going forward...

1. Eat Dead Cap
2. Get draft capital and move off Carr
3. Secure the #1 pick next season

Or just waste 3-4 years of being terrible, but slightly below mediocre

This is why Mickey was so adamant about keeping Dennis Allen. A coaching search would shed all this light over the team when media and outsiders actually get a good look at how things are run here and it's make him look like an idiot. Allen would just sit down and shut up cause he was just happy to be able to say he was the head guy.
Now we are most likely gonna have to settle for the football version of Stan van gundy.
We are gonna be forced to settle for the guy LITERALLY no one wanted.....and we're gonna get told it's an amazing get and how lucky we are to have him because of what he did like....12 years ago? 11? I don't even remember.
Absolute joke organization.
