FWIW, i ran into some folks in December from Nola that said they work for the mayor's office. I asked them how they felt about the scandals in her office. They were pretty indifferent and made a point to say that she takes care of the people under her and they had no complaints about how she treats them. It felt like a very candid and honest conversation.

Shreveport has had plenty of their own mayor problems too, so I completely agree with the poster that mentioned how messed up ALL La politics are, John Bel aside

The recall is trying to get the lowest possible denominator for the recount and the SOS doesn't want to have to get into the weeds of just how many actual voters are (or are not) on the rolls in Orleans - a deal makes sense for both sides.

I heard this earlier. I view this the same as a pro athlete going into the
