Justin Fields, I'd roll the dice (4 Viewers)

Fields isn’t a good QB. He doesn’t have the ability to anticipate throws and is often late on throws. No thank you.

Posters should not make the mistake of trying to match qb or offensive talent with a Moore’s style of offensive scheme. He will adjust his scheme to the talent available which is probably why he will be successful.

He any better than Rattler?
Now this is the question you have to ask yourself and what if Fields comes here and we make the playoffs. Now you owe him alot of money, when we are just starting to rebuild the cap.

I seriously would run it back with Rattler and if he fails, our next QB will be a college one we can low ball for 4 years.

If Moore brings in a QB it will probably be someone that is familiar with his offense…. Just a guess.

That's the thing, he builds an offense around the QB he has. He just won a SB with an offense built around a RB who plays QB throws just good enough.

He's also been accused of being too pass happy when he had a QB who could throw.

I think most of us are just looking out there at who can run and throw, young enough to build around and available.

Fields checks all of those boxes.

There's also the parallels between young QB cast aside by the team that drafted him for a better prospect being matched up with a young hot shot OC getting his chance at HC.

Look…. I’m not against any options. Draft Dart…. Bring in Fields, Willis, Jones…. Whatever. They are all stop gaps until we find a franchise QB. But Moore has an offensive system with checks, verbiage, and concepts. I’m sure it’s adaptable…. What I’m saying is…. If he brings a guy in…. It’s likely to be someone that has a handle on that. Because it straightens the learning curve for the other guys. That’s all.

I think a guy like Cooper Rush is more likely than anything else.

Of all of the QB's who will be available in free agency, I think Justin Fields has the most upside. It sounds like Pittsburgh wants him back but I'd make a run at him. He's better than anyone we have behind Carr. He can run. The next QB of the Saints will need to run! Fields was in a horrible situation with the Bears but had some flashes. He showed fairly well for himself in his audition with the Steelers. It's not impossible that he could be a franchise QB. He would be worth kicking the tires on this upcoming season while the team is still hamstrung financially. He could be your transition guy or the possible next guy. Thoughts?
Hey, Mickey is watching the board. He screaming throw that out the window..It would prevent him from giving away 3 picks in the draft to move up to grab a 5th rd QB. HUMOR

Agree on Jaxson. Just not sure he is gonna last to the 10th Pick. I don't know what so many see in Sanders..Projected as the 1st QB..Ehhh.. Not sold. Maybe I don't know enough. I think Sanders gonna have a hard time with a HC who isnt his dad. Just my opinion.

Also, you can bet whoever he chooses as his QB Position Coach, will likely have some weight on that decision.
If a coach doesn't believe he can work with Play XYZ, sometimes that is a factor as well.

Rush and Rattler would be a decent 1/2 (in whatever order) for 2025. I'm not expecting much next season. I just want to start laying the rebuild foundation and get Kellen's culture established.

He will cost a lot more
Yes, and unfortunately that does matter. The thought that we aren't paying for our past sins (because Mickey is a cap wizard) is self delusion. I'm not sold on Rattler, but at least for next season he would be a price conscious place holder (who might just perform well) and then you could re-address the position in 2026.
