Kafka is a Dark Horse (2 Viewers)

I’ll post this everywhere Kafka is mentioned. I see literally nothing desirable about Mike Kafka.

He leaves one team, they’ve made every Super Bowl since. Goes to another team and their offense has been worse every year of his tenure, and was a bottom 2 unit in 2024. We want to hire him off of that?

Those who don't want Kafka had better home that Mickey doesn't scare off Moore. Otherwise, I think Kafka is Mickey's plan B.

I beleive Kafka wants the job and is willing to be the B plan if they can't get Moore on board.

That said, I've been a Kafka honk for the past few years. At this point of his career, he reminds me of the path a young Sean Payton took. Former back up QB, young offensive leader who learned from a legend (Reid), etc. I also think that Kafka would be more likely to go along with Mickey's narratives about the condition of the franchise. He's a good fit (for Mickey).

It was Fassel in NY. But Fassel is a major conservative coach, He probably didn't like Paytons new-fangled ideas
Well to be fair to Fassel, it worked. The Giants were 3-4, had the second lowest scoring offense in the league and had scored 10 or less points in 4 of those games. Fassel took over and they won 7 of their last 9 games while averaging 27ppg.

Careers have setbacks and Payton obviously recovered. As a side note, Brian Billick did the same thing to Jim Fassel.

Maybe I missed something but what is the appeal of the OC for the Giants for the past few years? Didn't this guy go to bat for Daniel Jones over Saquon?

After reading up & watching as much Kellen Moore clips/film i could find, i have to admit that it makes me want Kafka to be our HC even more. Moore comes off as very mild mannered & soft spoken. To me, he kind of has that friendly nice guy vibe that DA had.

An O minded coach is def the way to go. But im not 100 on Moore’s ability to lead & command a room of pros & to rebuild a culture in decline, which i think is a must at HC. Maybe Moore can, but the dude clearly doesnt seem like a guy who’ll pull your card & hit you w/the consequences for not preforming up to par. I have zero doubts in his ability to conceptualize & call plays. I mean, that’s what Moore’s known for. It’s everything else that a HC must do that im not sold on.

Mike Kafka on the other hand, 100% has that boss swag to him. Been watching the Senior Bowl practices all week, & Kafka’s communication skills, eye for detail, & the way he pushes his guys is impressive to me. Underhill was at practice & reported how much cleaner Kafka’s (National squad) practice session are in comparison to the American squad. That, & the fact that he reportedly plans to bring in Wink Martindale as our DC is another major plus in his favor. Yeah…Im rooting for Kafka to be our HC.

Honestly I started on the who's this guy, the giants O was awful, he's here because he knows Mahommes. I was like what do we see in him so I dug a little bit and his interviews and intensity really stood out to me. I look at him and I don't see a Sean Payton style hire (never installed his system, was running dabols in ny) of offensive guru genius guy, what stood out to me is he is more in the Dan Campbell, Nick Siriani styles (the leader of men coach). His interviews come off as I have a concrete plan, Details Matter, and I will bring in people who will teach me and run my culture as supposed to my offensive system. I see alot of potential and at this point in the search honestly I dont think we could go wrong with him as a backup option should Moore decline or even out of left field he gets the nod over moore eventually. He has grown on me each time and I wish we could bring him in along with Moore to help do the dirty detail work of the offense clean up the prepartion and planning but that is unlikely. The man with a plan ahead of time, fully prepared each chance he gets, Is the vibe I would choose for a head coach,

also weaver is pretty impressive as well but I think the defensive coach is the deal breaker there, I have come to really like Kafka and would be totally behind him as a fan

I looked at the Eagles coaching staff and Moore is not an Assistant or Associate head coach. It's probably improbable, but I think this would be a pretty strong coaching staff if the personalities would mesh.

Kafka - Head Coach
Moore - OC Associate Head Coach (designs & calls offense while getting specific head coach training)
Martindale - DC
Galiano - STC
Rizzi - Assistant Head Coach (exclusively focused on assisting Kafka as his number 1)

I did and didn't find anything appealing about him, which is why I asked the question.
Ok reread it and Kafka is the Vibes Head Coach. Good Aura Guy. Will he win football games? Dunno but his Swag is immaculate. A "Guys Bein Dudes" hire.

I watched his interview with T-Bob and Hester and I can get behind him if he was the choice.

I know folks are concerned about the Giants offensive production the last couple of years but hear is an article from last year talking about issues with Daboll.
