We tried to sign him. He turned down our contract because he wanted more money. It turned toxic after and I can't really blame either DA or the FO for that.


In what world is Hendrickson on DA and not Loomis??? He lead our team in sacks his final year and our FO decided not to pay him. They took a gamble and they lost. Loomis and co decided to trade up for Davenport and draft Turner instead.

Meanwhile Davenport and Turner (two first round picks, arguably 3 if you include trading up) have been pretty below average while Trey has been top 5 in sacks almost every year since leaving us.

That is 100% on Loomis as the GM.

Of course, Hendrickson is on DA , it's DA's evaluation of him that is the reason we didn't re-sign him. DA thought he was just an effort guy and wouldn't develop. This has been reported a few times. You really think that if DA had a vision for Hendrickson and said he'll develop that ML would not have signed him??

Davenport had nothing to do with signing Hendrickson. MD came here in 18 because Payton said he was the missing piece because of what happened in the Minn. playoff game the yr before

What exactly do you think NFL GMs do if they aren't responsible for drafts, free agents, or roster construction?

Not resigning Hendrickson after he lead our team in pressures, sacks (almost double Cam), TFLs, QB hits, and pass rush win rate falls on the GM. Of course blame goes on the HC but that's literally the GMs job.
