Kellen Moore most likely to be Saints coach; Saints meeting Moore again after Super Bowl, Kellen Moore has begun working on assembling staff (159 Viewers)

Brandon Staley makes most sense. Not only becuase they were on a staff together but, the failed HC route at DC tends to be a safer pick for 1st time offensive minded coaches. It affords some stability in that they are unlikely to get poached after 2 years of good defense. Conversely the first DC tends to be hit or miss for most, DC will be his most important hire.
I would be happy with Staley.
I will be even happier when the Super Bowl is over and all of this is put into motion!

Once again, couldn't agree more. Trying to give you 7% disagreement, but just can't muster the number that high, LOL!

If Kellen is the new HC, and if he IS indeed who we think/hope he is, then his 1st HC tenure is likely to be defined by his choice of DC. Let's assume it's NOT Staley....who else has he worked with in Dallas/SD/Philly that might be ready for a promotion to DC? I honestly don't know...

Let's assume it IS Staley. What do we know about him? Coaching tree...preferred scheme...underlings he might prefer and bring with him, etc...?

Now we only have to draft an Aaron Donald clone.
After a little more reading, it sounds like Jalen Ramsey was just as important to his D.

Staley is a Vic Fangio guy. Mostly likely would run a 3-4 base but be multiple in similar ways to how Fangio is in Philly.

i like the sound of that! I'm a huge Fangio fan and wanted him as DC for B&G 2(?) seasons ago when we were re-shuffling our defensive hierarchy (co-DCs...under a defensive coach...RUFKM?!) I think Fangio is probably the best DC in the league today (personal opinion), and I've never forgotten his 1st tenure in NO with the Dome Patrol.

Nothing against him, but his podcast plays like it's produced by the Saints PR department.
Not quite, he talked pretty in depth about the church scandal on today's show. Not something the Saints PR department would ever even talk about outside of press release like yesterday.
