Add to that, Carr has excelled in Gruden's scheme which is very similar to his own.No other NFL team at Running Backs can compete with
Taysom
Williams
Kamara
As a whole.
Klint Kubiak must've thought it was a no brainer to come here.

Slow down, man, all that sweetness is gonna be bad for ya.Is it Sunday yet? I want more!
besides the points---glad to see alot pre-snap shifting, movement. Desguise our offense somewhat---PC's offense was so predictable.Humor aside, it's crazy to step back and see how well Kubiak understands the roster. We've all wondered how the offense struggled so mightily with true playmakers (AK, Taysom, Olive, Shaheed). It's so amazing to finally get an OC in here who understands how to utilize these guys and put them in the best position to succeed. Just seeing Taysom finally be on the field all the time as a starter instead of a gadget player who plays 50% or less of the snaps makes you wonder what could have been for his career if this had been the case all along. You can see how Kubiak molded the offense to the strengths of these guys and it's a wonderful thing to witness!
One of the more interesting storylines that no one seems to be talking about is Olave's two catches for 11 yards, but I think this is just a case of Klint utilizing different players in gameplans for different teams. I'm just whining because I started Chris and Taysom this week lol. Love the new look of this offense!
I’m ok w/ Jonoko stepping up in that scenario. As long as we get to keep Rick Dennison and the OL staff.Kinda depends on how many HCs get the axe after the season.
I agree, can’t say enough good things about the game plan.Refreshing to watch. Lots of motion. Good mix of calls. More runs than passes.
Running to the right behind Ruiz and Penning yielded some big plays.
Carr had time to throw.
Kamara feasted.
Great use of Taysom.
All this and Carr didn’t have to rely on his favorite target, Olave. Even Mason Tipton had a reception.
What I loved about it, is that you saw the reward of the plan with the Williams TD. Grind, grind, take a few shots, grind, grind, then boom, toss dive breaks for a TD.I agree, can’t say enough good things about the game plan.
But that’s not bad for “West Coast” offense. That was the debut we all hoped for. We beat up an inferior team the way a good team is supposed to beat up an inferior team.
I'd like to see a little more run/pass balance. We ran 37 times to 19 completed passes (24 attempts). 145 of our 200 passing yards were on 6 passing plays leaving a 4 yard average on the rest of the passing plays.
We were very balanced in the first half. But when you go up 30-3, your game plan will adjust to a run heavy attack in the second half. Carr had all 3 passing TDs in the first half when we had more focus on the passing game. That was the debut we all hoped for. We beat up an inferior team the way a good team is supposed to beat up an inferior team.

We will need to rely more on the pass when teams defenses focus in on the run and I think we'll need more than just bigger chunk plays to sustain drives. I'd love to see the screen game and a good blocking scheme for it develop over the course of the season. I'm not asking for Brees/PT levels of screen game, just another effective tool in the tool box.
Some real tests come in the weeks ahead, but you can only play the teams you play and Kubiak had the team performing to expectations which is something Carmichael couldn't do last year.
They tried Olave on a jet sweep and he got blown up for a four-yard loss.Only thing missing was a jet sweep and pop pass. Everything else was throw at the Panthers.
7 teams just hired Defensive minded guys in less than 24 months. If that’s not a ringing endorsement on my point, then idk what is. The game is not all offense. Sure these offensive guys are in high demand, but they are also getting canned at a rapid rate as well. That's my fault Sir, I was writing moreso from the perspective of fanbases than anything. Although I do standby my point that Offensive coaches are in demand, you definitely had some contrarian examples. 7 of 32 though (We can call it 9 if you want to allow for Tomlin and DA) is not exactly a big endorsement of your point. It's not a secret the league as whole has the rules set for more offense and so teams tend to choose offensive coaches to run their ball clubs. Which brings me to my overall point. If the Saints play like they did today more often than not, multiple teams will be firing their coach and offering Kubiak a Head Coaching role. It's the nature of the NFL now.
Couldn’t not of been a better opening game. It was like a practice to get the team ready for Dallas. What I loved about it, is that you saw the reward of the plan with the Williams TD. Grind, grind, take a few shots, grind, grind, then boom, toss dive breaks for a TD.
That’s what we’ve been missing for a while.
I hope it keeps up.
