Are you sure about that, bruh?
Do you have inside information from Loomis or Allen?
Can you accurately predict what will happen between now and 11/5/24?

No point in putting too much pressure on you to prove you're the 2024 version of Nostradamus so I won't ask you to look into the future beyond the next 2 days.

What will the winning numbers be for the Powerball drawing tomorrow night?
What will be the winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing this coming Tuesday night?

Asking for a friend.

Oh, how about a couple questions related to the Saints.
These two should be easy since you have inside info from Loomis and Allen, right?
And there was that prior post where you said you already know events yet to come.

Will Kamara report to training camp this Tuesday, 7/23/24, or not?
Will the Saints and Kamara agree to a restructured contract between now and Tuesday, 7/23/24, or not?

No worries. I'll re-post the updated summary of it below. Reading made easy.

Here's what we know as of today, 7/23/24, with the Saints and Marshon Lattimore:

1. Lattimore is currently a member of the 2024 New Orleans Saints under contract and is expected to report to training camp today.

2. June 1st, 2024 has passed. Trading Lattimore in the off season prior to that date would've been a major blow to the Saints dead cap for 2024.

3. The Saints 2024 season opens September 8th, 2024. One week prior to that date, Lattimore is due a $13.79M roster bonus payable by whichever team he is on.

4. Lattimore has a 2024 salary of $1.2 million dollars.

5. The NFL trade deadline is November 5th, 2024, which is the Tuesday after Week 9 NFL games.

Not to impressive so far only getting 1 out of 2 correct.

You could really redeem yourself by getting those Mega Million numbers correct for tonights drawing.

If you can do that you'll make a believer out of me, bruh.

According to Meatloaf, 2 out of 3 Ain't Bad. 🤑🤪

That roster bonus seems kinda small. Latt should have a real talk with his agent :)

The only person wondering what the team is thinking re: Lattimore is you, bruh. The rest of us already know.

Well, it's not just me, Bruh.

There's been a few articles since this was last discussed as well as a few posts here on SSF broaching the subject.

There's even a 4-page thread right here on page 1 that was started just a few days ago titled " Would you trade Lattimore for a starting RT?"

Link: https://saintsreport.com/threads/would-you-trade-lattimore-for-a-starting-rt.510846/

And then there was this August 24th, 2024 article by Dorrian Gray of Saints Wire that appeared on Yahoo Sports:
Excerpts:

They’re back at it again. Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine took a look at the New Orleans Saints potentially dealing Marshon Lattimore. It’s been discussed frequently, but Ballentine does look at it from a different angle.

Ballentine listed players who should be traded before roster cuts. It’s common to see players get dealt around this time of the year. Ballentine looked at why the Saints should trade Lattimore, and how much they could get back in return.

It's important the Saints get good value in return for one of their best playmakers. Ballentine argued they should trade their star cornerback to prioritize the future, recouping a draft pick or two and opening up salary cap dollars to be spent elsewhere. That includes paying Paulson Adebo. Solid premise but let's get to the main event, compensation. Ballentine said the Saints should look for a "at least a third-round pick."

It's hard to see Lattimore even commanding a third-round pick, let alone "at least" that much. Yes he's extremely talented and would be worthy of a third and then some if he were healthy.

The thing is he hasn't been for the past two years. Even right now, Lattimore is working his way back from a hip flexor injury.

So, what is Lattimore's trade value? That is a difficult one to really settle in on. For as talented as he is, he's only played 17 games in two years, the equivalent of a single season. You're not getting full value on a player with those concerns.
Full Article In Link Below:

While it appears that Marshon Lattimore will be part of the Saints initial 53-man roster at 3PM CST today when all NFL teams must cutdown their rosters, it's also possible that he could be placed on injured reserve to start the season, or, traded before today's deadline. A new rule for the 2024 season allows each team to activate a maximum of 2 players to the active roster during the regular season or playoffs, provided that said players were placed on IR on cutdown day. All players placed on IR, regardless of when, must sit out a minimum of 4 games, and once medically cleared to practice, the team has 21 days to either activate, cut, trade, or place player on IR.

Let me be clear. I would prefer a healthy Marshon Lattimore start and play all 17 games for the Saints in 2024 and perform at an All-Pro level. PERIOD!

The Saints CB room is deep in 2024 and other than Lattimore, all others are healthy as opening day nears. The Saints won't be able to afford both Lattimore and Adebo on the roster in 2025. One of them will be lost one way or another. Lattimore is the biggest chip the Saints have to deal in a trade for which they could get a player in return or a future draft pick. From a salary cap standpoint moving on from Lattimore makes sense for the Saints now and for the future.

After reworking his contract earlier this year, Lattimore’s base salary is set at the league minimum of $1.21 million for 2024, but that isn’t the only cost an acquiring team would have to pay. He’s also due to receive a $13.79 million roster bonus which will trigger one week before the start of the regular season, giving any team involved a deadline to work out a deal. He’s going to receive $15 million in compensation from whichever team he’s playing for in the fall.

So, due to the restructure of the Lattimore contract, September 1st, 2024, is the next date that could impact trading Lattimore. Making a trade before the September 1st roster bonus date would save the Saints the $13.79 million dollars. Doing so after September 1st could make a trade more enticing for the team trading for him as they would then only be on the books in 2024 for $1.21 million. A deal like that could bring the Saints a higher future draft pick and/or a player in return for Lattimore.

Like it or not, trade speculation and rumors regarding Lattimore will continue from now until the trade deadline, Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.
