Lets talk Williams (1 Viewer)

I guess it's pretty much my fault I had high expectations, With AK out this was his time to shine, Other then the last play of the game which he fumbled on he showed me nothing no wiggle at all.
Are you kidding? For starters the titans d line and LBs are a very strong and stout group to go against. Our o line struggled to open lanes period against that defense. No one ran well. Not even Taysom Hill.

He has no real wiggle or speed, he's the perfect compliment back when your main runners are quick versatile players (Kamara and Miller).

Williams is the tough yardage and short yardage back and he has to take on a larger role today but if you were expecting anything different then your not familiar with his skillet.

I thought his overall performance was positive. He kept plugging away and hit the one hole that was opened for him. Next week is another good test but I don't think Carolina's Dline isn't as good as the Titans

I was at the game. The Titans d line was extremely physical and fast sideline to sideline. our OL is better than we showed today., but give the Titans credit because they are very talented.
Their defensive front four are by far the best group on the team. They just wreak havoc on running plays and didn’t do too shabbily on the pass rush as well.

I don’t think it would have mattered who we were running with today - that Titans front four is no joke.

I don't expect him to create. I expect him to get the most out of what the blocking gives him. I think he did that even though it wasn't much. I never envisioned him as someone to save a broken play. More as someone who can finish a successful play.

We don’t have a team for a slow sluggish back. We need a poor man’s pollard

TEN is a tough run defense, but I do believe Williams has been overhyped. He had a lot of TD’s last season because the Lions have a good OL and running scheme. Williams is a backup RB in this league and always has been.

I guess it's a good thing that we brought him in to be a backup, then.

Titans have arguably the best interior line in the league. Our o-line is probably middle of the pack at best. Pete better dial up some quick passes next week and stop asking Carr to take the heat. MT is thr best slant runner I've seen and I didn't see him targeted on one. Most of those routes were too deep.
