Loomis opens up a bit more about Coaches pulling out of search (11 Viewers)

Exactly. McCarthy and Johnson weren’t interested because the team is still way over the cap, has an expensive vet QB who won’t take a pay cut, with a roster loaded with old, expensive, and oft injured players. Honestly I would’ve passed too. Apparently Moore felt up for the challenge.
I just find this take to be insane.

Right.

Unlike when candidates’ agents leak that they “pulled out,” Loomis can’t come out and say “nah, we never liked Kliff or Brady.” Because the team can’t afford bad blood with the agent in the future.

It’s a no-win for execs on that.
Sure, it's definitely a media and public perception game all around.

Joe Brady and Klint Kingsbury both turned down the Saints early in the process. There's just no way you can convince me they did so because Moore had the job ahead of them.

Those are both legitimate candidates that openly turned us down.

Saying candidates pulled out because they weren't #1 is coming off like a crazy ex gf.
Completey wrong, Kingsbury early on said he was not taking any interviews and was staying in WASH. Brady pulled out 2 days before the Saints flew to Philly to meet with Moore. Brady and Morre have the same agent. The trip to meet with Moore was known before hand. Brady and Moore have the same agent. Brady knew he was not the 1st choice . It would not have been good optics for Brady to get turned down by 3 teams in 1 hiring cycle so he withdrew
