Love it. They're honest about assessing the talent on the team, and taking BPA at positions of need. Not reaching for need at DE. That run on edge rushers that everyone said would happen didn't.

he is a great ballhawk, but i didnt love him. We needed FS depth, but after Maye and Baker were drafted, I would've waited a bit on Willims - but he is a good coverage safety. With our pick of any DE still on the board, this pick is a little confusing...

Williams was easily the second best centerfield-type free safety in this draft. At his size, he had great numbers at the combine. Some of his numbers were eye-popping, such as his 43.5" vertical. To give you an idea how good that is, he jumped at least six inches better than any other draftable safety (10 inches higher than Budda Baker). While I would have loved to get Willis. Bowser or Sidney Jones, this was a great pick and a smart pick.

Maybe they feel like no pass rusher we get will matter if our db's can't cover a player more than 2.5 seconds before they are open.

For those that don't like him now... you will like him a lot more during the season when you realize how much better he is than Vaccaro or Bell at taking away the deep ball and causing turnovers.

I don't watch a lot of Utah games, but from the little I did see... he caused like 5 takeways by himself...

Love the pick... I mocked him to us in the 3rd and admittedly that was wishful thinking that he would fall that far.

Between today and yesterday... we have added 2 absolute ballhawk studs to our secondary... couldn't be happier.

And I am usually the "debbie downer" of draft pick evals.

honest question. did we need a FS? I figured with have Vacarro Bell and Bush we werent in need to spend 2nd rounder on a S. Honestly i dont know though and do totally hate the pick

I think there was better value at the secondary at the second and pass rusher at the he third.

The way our NFC South are building, we need as much help with people that can cover.

I would have gone with Sidney Jones just because I understand his role better.

I understand Williams' role also, but I am not clear what is next for Von Bell.

This is nice an all but if Lattimore is in the training room with hammy and you still have no pass rush...it's a waste.

Safety: check (great value with a 1st round talent at #42)
Backup RT/Strief replacement: check (killed it again)

Seriously we have 2 needs left, and the 3 we have filled have been filled with great value picks, and very good players. How can anybody be hating this draft?
