McCoy leaves Eagles game with groin injury (3 Viewers)

Jalen Carter - DT Eagles - is no trifle. Picked ninth overall from Georgia - he's a monster. Georgia beat Alabama with him.

We saw what happened when McCoy went out, no longer available to take him on. Backup center was eaten alive.

People underestimate how much value McCoy and Ruiz bring to the line.

McCoy was playing great in the first two games. Saints Offense relies on PERFECT line movement, block assignment and combination blocks with hand offs of blocking assignments. The Center is the most important part of the entire scheme. I think they can cover for the loss of McCoy for a few games and not lose several in a row. A week of practice should help on timing. Tough loss of a player, tough loss for a game.

This is the most important thread on the 1st page of SSF right now. It has the possibility of creating far more problems that just today's game. If he misses much time, it could cost us the division. I think we underestimate how important McCoy really is.

This question is for those who were paying close attention to our o-line blocking and understand the dynamics of zone blocking o-lines. Does the center call the zone blocking assignments? If so, did the Saints have to simplify their blocking schemes with McCoy out? It seemed to me that our o-line blocking went to a man assignment blocking scheme after he left the field.

Much better than it looked

We wernt going undefeated but we got some Ls ahead as long as some Ws.

Cant get too high or too low.

This is the worst part of yesterday, much worse than even the L we took. A groin injury, especially for that position is just bad. A simple grade one or grade two groin injury will take 1-3 months to heal according to online information, and a grade 3 can take up to 4 months or longer. We need to catch a break on this one.

The injury looked bad. I can see best case scenario 4 weeks.
I watched him move at a snails pace to the tent and then at an even slower pace to the locker room. He looked like he probably needed to be carted to the locker room based on his body language. It was not a great sight.

I believe the center calls the protections in our new offense. If that is the case, it's easy to see how our offensive production crumbled.
