I don't have the same take. As football talking heads go, I find him to be pretty thorough, honest, willing to put in the work, and when necessary, put himself out on a limb. In years past, lots of Saints fans whined about his lower-than-normal ranking of Drew Brees and Michael Thomas, but ignored his unfettered praise of Sean Payton. He just speaks his mind, and some people (predictably) can't handle it.I agree with the most of the other posters here when it comes to Simms. He’s not very informed, tends to talk out of his a** and just because he says something good that might make me temporarily feel good about something that concerns the Saints. In fact I think it makes me feel worse that Simms likes it. Again, haven’t and won’t watch it. Not giving him the clicks but thanks.
I found his take on Bresee to be helpful and insightful. But to each his own.
