Michael Thomas deletes X account over Carr comments?? (1 Viewer)

Carr doesn't go 16 of 17 and complete his last 15 passes before getting knocked out of the game if the players "don’t wanna play for that guy."

You're projecting your personal feelings about Carr and Winston onto the players and reading everything they do and say in a way that supports your personal feelings about Carr and Winston.
Carr went 17/22 for the game. To me this was his best game. I think Carr is and has been hurt for awhile. DA to scared or prideful to bench DC costs us a couple of games. He should have not resigned JW if he wasn’t going to play him. The team is pissed for Jameis and Carr play has made people want Jameis more 150mil ???? Oh the players paying attention and some fans also.

No I’m arguing that the 30 year old slant man would be more productive for future QB have than a passive aggressive has been QB.
Fair enough, you used the word "build". You don't build with a guy in Mike's spot. You might use him as a bridge, but you don't build. By the time the team is competitive again, he'll be near mid 30s.

Again, I didn't say that. I said "clean house". That means everyone. How does asking a poster if he really stands behind his comment about rebuilding with Thomas turn in to this? He made a comment, I asked if he was serious, you're asking an irrelevant question. I don't care about keeping Carr or not. This team is screwed either way. Rebuilding around a 30 YO high priced diva WR isn't a good idea to me.

FWIW, you can rebuild around a 30 year old QB though, maybe not this one. 30 YO WR's are close to done. It doesn't make sense. Develop some young guys or use some bridge guys instead.
For arguments sake though , Thomas game was never predicated on being fast or twitchy. He runs slants like nobody in NFL history.

The issue is our 150 million dollar QB can’t throw one to save our season.

Thomas’s game will hold up well to the test of time and be an excellent blanket for a young QB who needs a safe place to put the ball

So you want to build around a 30 year old, high priced, always injured diva WR?
Well, they tried to build around Carr, prime Carr, look how that worked out.

You wouldn’t be building around Thomas though. I know it seems that way, but you would (hopefully) be building around a young stud (Daniels) with some vets for leadership. Thomas is talking do do because he freaking cares! Folks on here vilified Thomas multiple times. Olave was vilified a few weeks ago. The common denominator is Carr. I genuinely hope he’s ok, but he needs to go.

Anyone knows exactly what time Thomas made that comment? Is it possible it came as a result of Jameis' comments in the presser after the game. :idunno:

Man you honestly never know. It was a fast ride for the Bengals.

We need to get younger on defense , and if we hit on QB and still have AK , Olave and Shaheed around …. It could get interesting

Nothing to see here. We suck. It doesn't take fishing into IG for someone to verify that.

How did I defend Carr?
I didn’t say you defended him. I said it was odd people thinking we need to center our team’s future around Carr.

I’ll take MT and his injuries and slant capabilities over a high priced emo guy who is on the back end of a mediocre career and eating a sheet ton of our cap space.

He certinaly comes at an expense, as does Thomas. Clean house.

Carr didn't have a bad game at all. I'm not happy with his antics and I REALLY don't like his sideline demeanor, but he played a solid game. The Juwon Johnson INT was a nice pass. Carr got some very negative crowd reactions and he stayed with his game and made some decent throws. If he hadn't been pile driven twice we probably would have won the game.

Thomas...man, that's a tough one. I got on him about the injury and possibly delayed surgery, but have to say that he did he team a solid with his contract for this year. He's a nut case diva, like most receivers, but I'd sure like him to be more of a normal guy and stay off his phone. Juwon Johnson and his wife should both take sledge hammers to their phones. 🔨 📱

We can't clean house with Carr. We are stuck with him for two more years.
